The War Within is on the horizon, and to celebrate it, the Discord and WoW developers have partnered with each other, allowing you to earn a special Parrlok pet. As you can see, this creature is a recolored version of the Trading Post pets named Garrlok and Marrlok.
How to get the Parrlok pet
To participate and get Parrlok, you must stream World of Warcraft for 15 minutes for at least one viewer. Here’s the more elaborated way to follow:
- Open Discord and World of Warcraft.
- In Discord, go to Discover (where the server icons are) > Quests or use the direct link to accept the WoW: The War Within Quest.
- Find at least one viewer for your broadcast by going to DMs, group chat, or a server.
- Start your broadcast by clicking the Share Your Screen button in the lower left corner and selecting World of Warcraft.
- Stream for at least 15 minutes. Once the progress bar is completed (track it in the quest bar or under Discover > Quests), you’ll receive a code for a pet in User Settings > Gift Inventory or the quest bar.
After completing the quest, you’ll receive a code. Open the Battle.net launcher, click your profile, and select “Redeem Code.” Then, copy and paste the code, and Parrlok will be in your bag!
FAQ on getting the Parlok pet
Can I participate if I’m a Linux or MacOS user?
No. Ensure this quest cannot be completed on Linux or MacOS (even though it’s claimed that you can do it if you’re an Apple user).
But what if I don’t have any friends to help?
If your friends aren’t interested or you don’t have any, you can still get this adorable pet. Just join a Secret Finding Discord server and stream for 15 minutes — people don’t need to watch. Alternatively, you can create another account and watch the stream on your phone.
