Voidspire Race for World first live coverage

Here you will find Race for World First Voidspire live feed coverage, with all the details and perspectives from the top teams.

  • World Third β€” Plexus Sentinel: Crimson secures the kill in just three pulls. Congratulations! They’re switching to Heroic next, but it was still an outstanding performance.

  • We finally got our first RWF Mythic kill, here is our updated recap:

    • World First β€” Plexus Sentinel: Consequence takes the crown in just two pulls. Huge congratulations!
    • Loom’ithar Progression: Consequence logged the first attempts. The boss isn’t yielding easily, but a World First could be on the horizon.
    • World Second β€” Plexus Sentinel: Nurfed secures the kill in 20 pulls. Congrats on the silver finish!
    • Splits Continue: Top guilds appear to be gearing through splits and lining up weekend pushesβ€”expect the next bosses to fall faster once that gear locks in.
  • RWF continues β€” First three kills of Heroic Dimensius confirmed. Here is our recap:

    • Heroic Dimensius defeated: All three Heroic Dimensius kills are made by Chinese guilds on US servers. The first kill goes to BIGFLY, the second to blue shoe, and the third to Hero pub. Congratulations to all these guilds!
    • A guild with a reputation: blue shoe already has a history of World 1st. Back in Amirdrassil, they claimed the kill of Heroic Fyrakk.
    • EU guilds join the race: Season 3 update went live on EU servers, with guilds aiming to get into the top 10.
    • Splits and more splits: All the guilds, including Echo, Method, and Liquid, are actively doing their splits to get as much gear as possible before tackling Mythic difficulty.

  • RWF heats up – Almost a World First on Heroic Dimensius! Here’s our recap:

    • Melee Mechanics take another Mythic swing: Just like in the last RWF, Melee Mechanics attempted an ambitious gambit for World First on Plexus Sentinel. Despite their efforts, the kill slipped away this time.
    • Liquid closes in on Dimensius: In just four pulls, Liquid brought the War Within final boss down to 4%. While Dimensius looked intimidating at first, it’s starting to seem like the fight won’t be the major roadblock many expected.
    • Hopeful banned for 6 months: Liquid’s player Hopeful has been hit with a six-month suspension. Details are scarce, but rumors point to account-sharing as the cause.

What is WoW Race to World First

Fallen-King Salhadaar raid boss from the Voidspire raid in Midnight.

WoW Race to World First, or RWF, is a highly anticipated community-driven competition. Elite guilds from all over the globe contest for the honor of being the first to conquer the latest and most challenging raid content. The winner of a raid TWW RWF is the guild who defeats the new raid’s final boss on Mythic difficulty.

Race to World First WoW kicks off whenever Blizzard releases a new raid, typically alongside a major expansion or patch. Blizzard doesn’t officially organize the RWF. It’s an event by the players for the players from players for players. Supported by sponsors and organizations, RWF has grown into a massive event that captivates thousands of fans to live streams.

How WoW RWF works

WoW RWF Manaforge Omega raid The War Within.

WoW RWF begins when a new Mythic raid tier launches, often one week after the raid’s Normal and Heroic difficulties become available. It includes the following phases:

Pre-race preparation

Guilds study the raid and bosses’ mechanics, developing strategies, practice rotations and coordinated actions. This is also the time to try out various class compositions and plan their gear upgrades so every team members is well-prepared for the battle in TWW Race to World First.

The raid’s launch day

When a new RWF WoW raid launches, guilds have two main strategies. Some jump straight in, aiming to defeat as many bosses as possible and claim the boss’s World First titles. This doesn’t mean that they are the World First champion for that raid. For example, Melee Mechanic took Ulgrax’s World First, but Liquid won the Nerub’ar raid RWF since the latter was the first to defeat Queen Ansurek. Others focus on split runs to gear up, improving their chances of faster progress and an easier final boss kill in the Race to World First War Within.

Splitting and gearing

No matter what happens, in the end, all guilds will eventually have to do split runs. This strategy is key to maximizing gear acquisition. Guilds form multiple raid groups to farm gear from lower difficulties, funneling the best items to core raiders to boost their power for progression in the main raid. However, splitting in WoW RtWF requires enormous resources and contributions from many players. That’s why the top guilds even have dedicated assistants to help with these splits.

Progressing in the raid

With each boss, the guilds adapt their strategies based on what they learn from their own attempts and by observing their competitors. If a boss shows itself to be an unusual challenge, guilds may choose to fight it off-stream to keep their tactics hidden from others. In cases where a boss is too difficult to defeat, Blizzard may step in with fixes, nerfs, or buffs to help balance RtWF WoW gameplay.

The final boss

The final boss is often the biggest challenge, holding guilds up for days. A guild might race through earlier bosses and reach the final one first, but if it proves too difficult, they can get stuck while other guilds catch up. In some cases, the guild that reached the final boss first couldn’t defeat it, and the World First title went to a later contender of WoW RWF 2025.

Is Voidspire raid hard?

With the start of Midnight Season 1, Voidspire currently stands as the most challenging raid available in World of Warcraft. As the first raid of the expansion, many players are still in the early stages of gearing, meaning the highest item level rewards needed for smoother progression are not yet widely accessible.

Because of this early-season gear gap, Voidspire has proven to be a demanding raid overall, with the final boss acting as the primary progression wall for most guilds. Until the release of March on Quel’Danas, Voidspire remains the pinnacle PvE challenge of the season.

When is the next Race to World First WoW?

The next Race to World First takes place during Midnight Season 1, starting on March 24, 2026, when Mythic raids unlock. By this point, all regional release timings, weekly resets, and raid unlock schedules are fully established. Top guilds will follow the standard RWF format, including early Heroic gearing, split runs, and nonstop Mythic progression until the final boss is defeated on Mythic difficulty and the world-first kill is confirmed.
