NA WoW accounts compensated for extended downtime
Blizzard has acknowledged the issues that arose when The War Within pre-patch was released and will get NA WoW accounts compensated on or before August 15, 2024.
In a recent blue post on July 26, Blizzard apologized and acknowledged that the pre-patch release had caused several issues in the game. These issues, including extended downtime, prevented many players from accessing World of Warcraft and enjoying the new content on North American realms.
To address this problem, Blizzard has decided to add one day of game time to all accounts from North America, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand, with subscriptions that were active as of July 23, 2024. As a result, you can expect to get this compensation on or before August 15, 2024. You can review your game time by visiting account.battle.net and navigating to the ‘Games and Subscriptions‘ section in your account settings.
With that in mind, it is unfair that players have lost a whole day of game time they paid for due to issues on Blizzard’s end. However, the Developers’ compensation for players with one day of game time is a positive gesture that is greatly appreciated by the WoW community.
