TWW Patch 11.2 new dungeon name

The new dungeon name in Patch 11.2 is Eco-Dome Al’dani.
You’ve likely encountered eco-domes before, they’re a familiar feature in WoW. The most well-known examples are the eco-domes in Netherstorm, introduced in The Burning Crusade. Built by the ethereals, these domes function as greenhouses, preserving life and nature in otherwise extreme and hostile environments.
Eco-Dome Al’dani is likely no exception, with “Al’dani” simply serving as the name of this specific dome.
Eco-Dome Al’dani Lore

The eco-domes are K’aresh’s last hope for restoring life, and Eco-Dome Al’dani stands atop one of the planet’s most sacred sites. Now, a Wastelander invasion has torn the dome open, leaving it vulnerable to ruin. In response, Ve’nari has issued a call for aid to protect its vital resources and prevent the fall of K’aresh’s greatest chance at renewal.
Below is the quote from Blizzard developers, shared during their Wowhead interview, describing the Eco-Dome Al’dani dungeon.
“We’re going to be fighting through Devourers invading one of these places, [and prevent them from] eating some of the wildlife. We’re also going to be fighting off a force of wastelanders that have taking over this place [Eco-Dome Al’dani]. We’re going to figure out why they want this place [Eco-Dome Al’dani].”
— De Sousa, WoW developer
Eco-Dome Al’dani entrance

The entrance to Eco-Dome Al’dani is located in the new zone of K’aresh, directly beneath the Manaforge Omega raid.
According to the main storyline, players are meant to complete the Manaforge Omega raid before experiencing the events of the Eco-Dome Al’dani dungeon. However, in practice, most players will run the dungeon first, with the raid after that.
Eco-Dome Al’dani bosses
Note
Eco-Dome Al’dani Heroic mode is now available on the PTR, so we’ve included some in-game screenshots below. Keep in mind, these visuals may change by release.
The Eco-Dome Al’dani dungeon features three boss encounters, along with some likely trash mobs between them. Let’s take a closer look at each of the Eco-Dome Al’dani bosses.
Azhiccar boss

Devourers are known to follow the Great Devourer Worms into new realms in search of fresh prey, and Azhiccar is no exception. Tunneling deep into unfamiliar lands, it hunts endlessly to feed its insatiable hunger. Even fellow devourers can become its victims, yet they still heed Azhiccar’s call, driven by a simple truth: consume or be consumed.
Taah’bat and A’wazj boss

Taah’bat, the Soul-Scribe’s devoted enforcer, is relentless in carrying out her will. Bonded with the fierce warp-stalker A’wazj, he has mastered its phasing abilities, allowing the two to move as one: vanishing and reappearing to strike down anyone who dares challenge the Soul-Scribe’s vengeance.
Soul-Scribe boss

Once the leader of K’aresh’s oracles, the Soul-Scribe was driven into the wastelands after her world’s fall, sparking a crusade of vengeance. Bound by ancient oaths to destroy the enemies of Salhadaar and everything they created, she has now reclaimed her forgotten powers, casting a dark shadow over the fate of this dome.
Eco-Dome Al’dani difficulties

As expected, Eco-Dome Al’dani will be available in three difficulties: Normal, Heroic, and Mythic 0. Once Season 3 begins, it will also be included in the upcoming TWW Season 3 Mythic+ dungeon rotation.

Devs comments on Eco-Dome Al’dani
Here’s what the WoW dev team said about Eco-Dome Al’dani:
- Eco-Dome Al’dani, the new dungeon, is described as a very special Eco-Dome. Developers teased that an awesome secret awaits at the end of the dungeon, calling it an important step for the ethereals.
- Ve’nari has a specific list of animals she wants to introduce into her Eco-Dome as part of an initiative called Ecological Succession. Meanwhile, the ethereals are known for their habit of borrowing things.
- The Eco-Domes, including the one built with Ve’nari, are attempts to recreate what K’aresh was like before its devastation. They are more than habitats, they are living memories of a lost world.
- This patch marks a shift in narrative structure. Instead of the raid delivering the final story moment, the dungeon will serve as the closing chapter of this patch. Its importance to the Worldsoul Saga makes it a key moment in the unfolding story.
- The Wastelanders are a group of ethereals who remained on K’aresh, swearing an oath to protect what remains of their shattered homeland. These characters reflect the resilience and commitment of ethereal society.
- The Eco-Domes take inspiration from the original Burning Crusade aesthetic, while also imagining what K’aresh might have looked like in its prime. Think of it as a vision of Elwynn Forest if Azeroth had been destroyed and later reconstructed from memory.
- All Season 3 dungeons will now include visible waypoints, allowing players to see exactly where they will respawn after dying. This quality-of-life feature is meant to reduce confusion and downtime during runs.
- Eco-Dome Al’dani was designed using the same design philosophy introduced in Season 2, which focused on combat pacing and cast bar readability in Mythic+. The dungeon should feel consistent with others in the current rotation. However, overpulling will still challenge players with overlapping mechanics from multiple enemies.
- Boss encounters in the dungeon have also been refined. The developers are aiming for clearer mechanics with defined identities. Not every boss will overwhelm healers or require constant movement. At higher key levels, danger remains, but the fights are intended to be more readable and approachable, with a few surprises in store.
- Eco-Dome Al’dani features three bosses, and the timer has been adjusted accordingly. The dungeon is designed with a focus on variety and pacing. Similar to how Floodgate begins with open routing before transitioning into tighter corridors, this dungeon offers a mix of open exploration and classic dungeon paths. Since it is set on K’aresh, players will travel between environments, experiencing both the interior of the dome and the outer dunes and ruins.
