Update!
Information about race change service discount was added.
Have you ever been jealous of Demon Hunters and Evokers? Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be free from the fear of falling? Especially when you’re a Hunter or Rogue, have you ever felt unfair towards such ability? Well, that time is now in the past. “If God had meant us to fly, he would have given us wings.” With Dracthyr now having access to more classes in The War Within, seems like wings are not an issue anymore!

Race change service discount
Since the Anniversary 11.0.5 patch release, Blizzard has provided players with a race change service discount. Since Dracthyr now have more classes to choose from, many players would like to switch their characters’ races. It is very pleasant to see such moves from the developers towards players.
What can this change possibly bring us
Gliding with its extra movement speed, it is an excellent complement to any class kit, but what exactly can it bring? First of all, such an improvement can strengthen already remarkably mobile classes, making Hunters and Rogues almost unstoppable. But, of course, many common-mobility classes would like to get a piece of cake, too.
Of course, Dracthyr gliding technique is not as powerful as the one Demon Hunters have (due to Demon Hunters’ Double Jump option to gain extra height). Previously, such a strong ability to “fly” was associated with classes. So, if you wanted to play anything besides Demon Hunter and Evoker — you could not do anything but look down on them. Just like you “never cared and wanted to fly in the first place.” But now, as growing wings is possible even in classes other players want to main, we might soon start seeing a significant population jump within Dracthyr. And in the upcoming time, more extra-mobile classes are about to appear. And those will be classes that we never saw gliding. So if you decide to make a new Dracthyr character, be sure to check our Leveling guide for the best experience.
Conclusion
We will soon see how these changes affect the game. We may even witness new incredible kiting techniques or new Mythic+ routes (which are very important at high levels) that other races can not take. This may lead to significant meta changes. It is only up to the player base to decide how they will take advantage of higher mobility options.
