Removing timegating
Initially, the system required players to wait for particular enemies to invade Siren Isle before acquiring certain Citrine gems like Vrykuls, Pirates, and Nagas. This design aimed to create anticipation but often caused frustration among players who had to wait for the right invasion type. At the release of patch 11.0.7, only four Citrine gems were available.
Because of this, Cyrce’s Circlet was dramatically underperforming. Recognizing this issue, Blizzard removed the time gating mechanism entirely, hoping Cyrce’s Circlet would improve performance.
Acquiring all Citrine gems
With the hotfix, all Singing Citrines will become available on Siren Isle simultaneously, enabling players to collect every gem during the current week. The Goblins, Arathi, and Earthen gems can be obtained through the Major Excavations event initiated at the Siren Isle. Once collected, these gems can be purchased and stored in the player’s Warbank for use across alternate characters. Those gems are Stormbringer’s Runed Citrine, Undersea Overseer’s Citrine, and Old Salt’s Bardic Citrine.
Additionally, gems associated with other enemy factions will be available for purchase from Taljori, a Tortollan vendor located on a large rock behind Bargus on Siren Isle [65.8, 42].
Conclusion
Players seeking to upgrade Cyrce’s Circlet can now take advantage of the removal of timegating. By checking the mission table regularly, they’ll discover various opportunities to complete excavations for all the necessary Citrine gems. As each mission is completed, it will be replaced with another, ensuring a steady supply of gems.
Patch 11.0.7 brings welcome changes for those looking to optimize their gear with Citrine gems. With the timegating lifted, players can focus on gathering and equipping the perfect gems for their character builds without unnecessary delays.
