Blizzard Released New Hotfixes to Identify The Frog Farmers
Blizzard has recently rolled out three new hotfixes to identify the frog farmers.
As reported by Wowhead, last night, three hotfixes were added to the live servers:
- CriteriaTree: Frog Farmer Designer Value
- CriteriaTree: 10.2.7 Timewalking Season – Is Frog Farmer
- Criteria
The ‘Frog Farmer Designer Value’ and ‘10.2.7 Timewalking Season – Is Frog Farmer Criteria’ are particularly capturing players’ attention. They indicate that Blizzard may be trying to flag those who participated in frog farming.
At the moment of writing, there’s not much information available about these hotfixes and Blizzard’s intention. It would be unreasonable for Blizzard to ban or roll back progress for these players, as they weren’t exploiting a bug but simply found a profitable farming spot and spent time grinding the mobs. After all, even in Dragonflight, players still choose the frogs on Timeless Isle to farm for progression.
There’s a possibility that Blizzard is merely flagging those who farmed the frog and increasing resource gains for those who aren’t marked. However, we won’t know for sure until Blizzard releases official information addressing this situation.
What do you think Blizzard wants to do with the froggers? Will the frog farmers face any penalties for hyper-farming? Share your opinions with us in the comments!
