Season of Discovery Phase 5 launches on September 26
Great news for WoW Classic fans! Blizzard is launching the highly anticipated Season of Discovery Phase 5 on September 26.
Starting that day, you can dive into new content, including the Blackwing Lair raid for 20 to 40 players. Face Nefarian, the son of Deathwing, and earn iconic Tier 2 armor sets, which Blizzard enhanced for WoW’s 20th Anniversary on WoW Retail, along with other revamped rewards.
You’ll also get the chance to explore the dangerous jungles of Stranglethorn Vale and uncover the secrets of an ancient troll city. Head to Zul’Gurub, a 10-20 player raid dungeon, to hunt for epic loot and triumph over formidable bosses inside. Even though the difficulty and rewards are tuned for 10 players, up to 20 can join, so don’t forget to bring your friends along for the adventure!
Though SoD Phase 5 details still remain vague, we can expect even more content thanks to Wowhead’s recent datamine. This includes new dungeons like the Burning of Andorhal, Starfall Barrow Den, and Shadow Hold, as well as potential Heroic dungeon difficulty. There will also be new healing ring runes, such as the Rune of Meditation Specialization and Rune of Healing Specialization, and many more.
Of course, this is just speculation since Blizzard hasn’t mentioned anything else in its blue post, and many surprises will probably remain under wraps until SoD Phase 5 drops.
What do you think will await us in the lead up to September 26? Also, what unrevealed features would you like to see in SoD Phase 5? We’d love to hear your opinion in the comments below!
