Mekgineer Thermaplugg Won’t Give You XP After Level 40
You may want to reconsider your leveling tactics in SoD Phase 3. Defeating Mekgineer Thermaplugg won’t give you XP once you reach level 40.

Much of the new content is met with enthusiasm. However, there’s less thrilling news for all the raiders out there. Unfortunately, clearing the Gnomeregan raid will not offer the same benefits as it did during Phase 2. You can still get a hefty amount of XP from the other Gnomeregan bosses. However, Mekgineer Thermaplugg only gives you 101 XP for defeating him once you reach level 40.
This change is more likely a bug than a deliberate decision from Blizzard. Players have also reported another issue involving Mekgineer Thermaplugg, which prevents them from exiting combat after defeating the final boss. That said, it is advisable to avoid challenging Mekgineer Thermaplugg for now to save your own time and effort.
