Why choose Fishing as your profession in WoW Classic Fresh
Fishing is a secondary profession in WoW Fresh Classic that allows players to catch various fish in different places of Azeroth. Fishing can provide you with a variety of resources for further crafting. Since it is a secondary profession, it doesn’t require a primary slot, meaning you can easily choose it as an addition to your main profession. You can use obtained resources to sell it or use them for further crafting. Fishing is not just a gathering profession; it’s an amazing way to spend time and calm your nerves.
The best combo with Fishing in WoW Classic Fresh
The best combo for Fishing in WoW Classic Fresh is Cooking. Many resources that are needed for Cooking leveling can be gathered via Fishing. Many useful dishes require different fish, letting you restore health and buff your character. Such a combo will let you productively use resources for the best outcome.

Starting zones: Dun Morogh, Durotar, Elwynn Forest, Mulgore, Teldrassil, Tirisfal Glades
Remember, starting zones do not include capital cities!
Fresh Classic WoW Journeyman Fishing leveling
75–150
Visit your trainer and learn Journeyman First Aid.
Fish until 150 in one of the capital cities:
- Darnassus
- Stormwind City
- Orgrimmar
- Undercity
- Thunder Bluff
Alternatively, you can fish in any of these zones too: The Barrens, Darkshore, Ironforge, Loch Modan, Silverpine Forest, and Westfall.
Fresh Classic WoW Expert Fishing leveling
150-225
You can learn Expert Fishing from the Expert Fishing – The Bass and You (requires level 20) book sold by Old Man Heming at Booty Bay in Stranglethorn. He is in the middle of Booty Bay at the very bottom part, near a fishing sign. (You can also buy it at the Auction House)
Buy a bunch of Bright Baubles from Old Man Heming before you leave.
Go to Dustwallow Marsh, apply Bright Baubles to your Fishing Pole, and fish until 225.
I recommend fishing in Dustwallow because the Artisan Fishing Quest starts there. Still, you can fish in these zones too: Alterac Mountains, Arathi Highlands, Desolace, Stranglethorn Vale, Swamp of Sorrows, and Thousand Needles.
Fresh Classic WiW Artisan leveling
To train Fishing past 225, you must complete the quest Nat Pagle, Angler Extreme from Nat Pagle in Dustwallow Marsh. (requires level 35 and Fishing 225)
To complete the quest, you have to catch four quest-only fish from different locations.
- Feralas Ahi – Feralas
- Misty Reed Mahi Mahi – Swamp of Sorrows
- Sar’theris Striker – Desolace
- Savage Coast Blue Sailfin – Stranglethorn Vale
Use Bright Baubles when you are fishing in Feralas to stop the fish from getting away. You don’t need any lures for the other zones because your fishing skills are high enough at this point.
225-300
After you complete the quest, fish in any of these zones:
- Felwood
- Feralas
- The Hinterlands
- Tanaris
- Un’Goro Crater
- Western Plaguelands
You will have to use Bright Baubles in these zones to stop the fish from getting away!
That’s everything you need to know to master Fishing in Fresh Classic! We hope that this WoW Classic Fresh Fishing guide has been useful for you. Happy gaming!
