In this guide, we’ll take you through all the quests you can complete within the Deadmines, from the simplest to the more involved quest chains. The rewards for these quests offer relatively good equipment and precious XP. Let’s dive into this Classic Fresh adventure!

Here’s a quick breakdown of the quests available in the Deadmines, along with their level requirements. You’ll find quests that can be picked up as soon as you reach their quest givers, those that are part of longer quest chains, and those that start inside the dungeon itself.

Please note that these quests are available only for Alliance players.

Quests Started Inside the Dungeon:

Note: To access all quests for the Deadmines as an Alliance player, you must be at least level 16. There are no quests available for Horde players in this dungeon. Even so, it seems obvious; please don’t try doing solo quests that are connected to dungeons. They were not designed to be completed in the party.

Quest breakdown

Now, let’s get straight to the quests:

Underground Assault

This quest starts with Gnoarn in Ironforge [69.6, 50.6] but can also be picked up from Shoni the Silent [55.6, 12.6] in Stormwind if you haven’t ventured to Ironforge. The first part of the quest requires you to loot Gnoam Sprecklesprocket from Sneed’s Shredder in the Deadmines. This is a straightforward boss fight in the Mast Room—simply defeat Sneed and loot the item.

The Defias Brotherhood

This 7-part quest chain begins with Gryan Stoutmantle in Sentinel Hill. The final step takes place in the Deadmines, where you must defeat Edwin VanCleef and loot his head. This quest line is an essential part of the WoW Classic storyline, as it reveals the true scope of the Defias Brotherhood’s activities in the region.

The Defias Brotherhood quest chain starts with Gryan Stoutmantle in Westfall and takes you across several locations, including Redridge Mountains and Stormwind. Along the way, you’ll gather essential items like Wiley’s Note and Shaw’s Report and follow the traitor to protect him. The final task is defeating Edwin VanCleef in the Deadmines dungeon and returning his head to Gryan.

Red Silk Bandanas

Pick up this quest from Scout Riell on top of the Sentinel Hill Tower. To complete it, you need to loot 10 Red Silk Bandanas from Defias Elites inside the Deadmines. You must have already completed The Defias Brotherhood questline for this quest to become available.

Oh Brother…

Start this quest by talking to Wilder Thistlenettle in Stormwind’s Dwarven District. You’ll need to venture into the Deadmines to find Foreman Thistlenettle, who drops the quest item Thistlenettle’s Badge. This quest is part of the ongoing investigation into the Defias Brotherhood’s operations.

Collecting Memories

Pick up this quest from Wilder Thistlenettle in Stormwind. You’ll need to collect Miners’ Union Cards from various Undead Miners in the Defias Hideout. The cards drop from Skeletal Miners, Undead Dynamiters, and Undead Excavators. This quest can be completed alongside other objectives in the Deadmines.

Please note, that this quest is done outside of Deadmines, in the Moonbrook mines.

Conclusion

The Deadmines dungeon in WoW Classic Fresh offers a great mix of early-game content for leveling and quest completion. Whether looking for some of your first blue items or simply trying to progress through the story, these quests are essential to your journey in Westfall. The rewards will help you gear up for future adventures, and the lore surrounding the Defias Brotherhood is key to understanding much of the early Classic Era experience.

Enjoy your time in the Deadmines, and happy adventuring!
