Best weapons for The Insight Terminus
As with other GMs in this Episode, a combination of Outbreak Perfected and a Rocket Sidearm (like Indebted Kindness or Aberrant Action) will help you easily clear The Insight Terminus. If you’re tired of this loadout, or if you’re missing some of these weapons, then a Scout Rifle or Sidearm with a Sniper Rifle will be good substitutes, though slightly less effective.
Best builds in The Insight Terminus Grandmaster nightfall
Warlock
Mataiodoxia will be an excellent choice for Prismatic Warlocks here, as this Exotic will ensure you have no issues with Champions, allowing you more freedom in choosing weapons for this GM. For more cautious players, the Prismatic Turret Warlock is still very relevant, even after some nerfs.
Titan
Consecration Prismatic Titan has been unrivaled throughout the entire Episode for GMs, as its lethality is at the highest level. Of course, you can also use Abeyant Leap Berserker for safer gameplay, but your progress may slow down considerably.
Hunter
If you want to instantly destroy Champions or deal massive burst damage to the Boss, Celestial Nighthawk on Prismatic or Solar is perfect for you. For those who prefer a more aggressive playstyle, there’s Prismatic Hunter with Spirit of Inmost Light and Cyrtarachne for constant ability spam. If you want something safer, Void Hunter with Orpheus Rigs or Omnioculus will be more to your liking.
How to complete The Insight Terminus GM nightfall — encounters guide
At the very beginning of the Nightfall, you’ll need to ride through the Patrol Zone to a cave, where you’ll quickly encounter the first Barrier Champion. Behind it, there’s a room with a small number of enemies, including two more Barrier Hobgoblins. Moving forward through the tunnels, you’ll come to Cabal Enemies, where a Barrier Colossus will shoot at you from a distance on the left.
After clearing them out, proceed to the next tunnel containing a few Headless Goblins, at the end of which you’ll find yourself in the Plate Room. In this room, you’ll need to capture a point while fighting off waves of War Beasts, Gladiators, and Unstoppable Champs emerging from a portal. Entering the portal and moving slightly forward through the cave will bring you to a large room.
In this encounter, you’ll first need to eliminate all Cabal and Barrier Champions appearing from portals on the right and left sides of the arena. One of them is located right at the entrance, so be prepared for a surprise attack. After that, you’ll need to shoot the boss, who is positioned at the far end of the arena, which will trigger the next stage.
We recommend staying away from the central part of the arena, as a drop pod with an Unstoppable Incendiary will land there. Along with this, more enemies will start emerging from the portals, including a Barrier Champ. After killing the Incendior, it will drop an Orb, which needs to be carried to the far end of the arena (where the boss was previously). Be careful, as enemies, including a Barrier Colossus, will be near the Orb deposit spot. Since you can’t shoot or use abilities while carrying the Orb, don’t hesitate to drop it temporarily and ask a teammate to deal with the enemies. After the first Orb is deposited, you’ll need to do the same thing a second time, dealing with another Unstoppable and four more Barrier Champions along the way.
After completing this encounter, you’ll need to go deeper into the cave, encountering small groups of Vex along the way. This path will lead you to the The Insight Terminus boss encounter, where the boss will be immune at the start. To begin the DPS phase, you’ll need to capture the plate in the center of the arena. While doing this, multiple Cabal Enemies will rush at you, and if one of them steps onto the plate, the capture process will pause.
Once the plate is captured, the boss will become vulnerable to damage, but will become immune again when its HP reaches 50%. This time, you’ll need to capture three plates, and you can complete this stage in one of two ways:
- All three players stand on one plate. This is much safer but will take longer.
- Each player stands on a different plate. If you’re confident in your abilities, this method is preferable for faster completion.
After capturing all three plates, the boss will once again take damage, allowing you to finish it off and complete The Insight Terminus GM.
