Destiny 2 Solstice 2025 event is here, and it’s an excellent opportunity to return to the game for a few days or weeks. Here is all you need to know about the event.
Solstice 2025 release date
Solstice starts on August 5 at 12:00 PM PT. From that moment, you can visit Eva Levante and begin your Solstice 2025 experience.
Solstice 2025 end date
Solstice 2025 ends on August 19. Make sure to complete all your goals before the event wraps up: it won’t return until summer 2026.
What is Solstice 2025
Here are the key features and must-know details of Solstice 2025:
- Event lasts for 2 weeks
- Forge glowing armor in the new Solstice Forge
- Bonfire Bash replaced by Solar-themed modifiers in Portal activities
- New Solstice Scorched Crucible mode with Scorch Cannons in Clash, Control, and Rift
- Unlock free rewards from the event hub: emblem, Ghost Shell, Holofoil weapons, and more
- Complete daily and weekly challenges to raise your event rank
- New Reward Shop: purchase weapons, Tier 4 engrams, Glimmer, and Enhancement Cores
- Daily rotating modifiers in Portal matchmaking, including Hot Potato, Fired Up, Class Healing, and Igniter
Solstice begins every summer in the Destiny universe. From a lore perspective, it celebrates the accomplishments and achievements of humanity, how the civilization is being built, and where it is headed in its imminent future.
Solstice 2025 activities
Earn Solstice 2025 Alloys by completing activities across the system. Use them at Eva’s Solstice Forge to craft Lustrous armor and unlock its Incandescent glows. Glows become available once you’ve forged the corresponding armor type.
After forging a piece, you can earn additional armor drops by playing Portal activities.
Complete event challenges (found in the Overview tab of the Event Home) to earn Event Tokens, which can be spent in the Reward Shop tab for exclusive rewards.
Solstice 2025 Portal Modifiers
These are the known Portal Modifiers for Solstice 2025:
- Hot Potato
- Carriable Solar Flares occasionally drop from defeated combatants. Passing it between players increases the amount of damage it will do.
- Fired Up
- Dealing damage and final blows from Solar sources raises a heat meter. Once full, your weapons will cause Solar explosions.
- Class Healing
- Heal yourself when using your class ability.
- Igniter
- Precision hits against scorched combatants cause ignitions.
Solstice 2025 armor
Each class at Solstice 2025 gets a summer-themed, beach-party inspired set:
- Titan: Lustrous Suit
- Blue swim shorts, inflatable shoulder pads, and a rubber ducky floatie.
- Warlock: Lustrous Suit
- Tropical vacation robes, straw sunhat, and balloon animal accessories.
- Hunter: Lustrous Suit
- Deep-sea diver look with goggles, wetsuit armor, and a safety ring.
Solstice 2025 weapons with God Rolls
3 new event weapons debut in Solstice 2025 in normal and Holofoil versions:
- Fortunate Star Combat Bow
- Festival Flight Grenade Launcher
- Yeartide Apex Submachine Gun
All three weapons come with the Dream Work trait, along with one additional unique trait each. Here’s what Dream Work does: Once per reload, assists or assisted final blows partially refill the weapon from reserves and increase reload speed for a short duration. Bows receive faster draw time.
Fortunate Star, Combat Bow
- Slot: Primary
- Damage type: Void
- Traits: Dream Work + Veist Stinger: (Damaging an enemy with this weapon has a small chance to reload the magazine and increase movement speed while aiming down sights. Bows receive faster draw speed and swords receive faster charge rate while this perk is active.)
- God Roll:
- Dragonfly + Destabilizing Rounds
- Repulsor Brace + Explosive Head / Destabilizing Rounds
Festival Flight, Grenade Launcher
- Slot: Special
- Damage type: Strand
- Traits: Dream Work + Suros Synergy (Reloading grants this weapon bonus handling and reduces incoming flinch for a short time.)
- God Roll:
- Demolitionist + Attrition Orbs
- Ambition Assassin + Binary Orbit / Vorpal Weapon
Yeartide Apex, Submachine Gun
- Slot: Primary
- Damage type: Solar
- Traits: Dream Work + Tex Balanced Stock (Damaging targets while firing from the hip increases handling, reload speed, and movement speed while aiming down sights.)
- God Rolls:
- Heal Clip + Incandescent
- Attrition Orbs + Incandescent / Chaos Reshaped
