Glimmer Cap in Destiny 2 Will Change This January
Finally, Bungie heard the players and raised the Glimmer cap!
In today’s TWiD, Bungie announced that starting January 30, players will be able to have more Glimmer in their account. New Glimmer cap will be up to 500,000 Glimmer. Currently, the maximum amount of currency you can hold is 250,000 Glimmer.
Destiny 2 fans have long been struggling with the constant lack of currency space, particularly with Glimmer. Glimmer drops from almost everything, causing a constant excess. Moreover, with the release of Season of the Wish and the rejection of Legendary Shards, players spent it more frequently. Everyone has increasingly asked to raise the cap, and developers finally did it.
Fortunately, many players in the community are expressing their joy in the comments on X and Reddit about how this change will make life easier for them:
What do you think? Is this change sufficient, or should Bungie increase the cap even more? Be sure to share your thoughts in the comments! In the meantime, you can read about other new changes from recent TWiD, like character recustomization or upcoming D2 events.
