Destiny 2: Bungie Revealed Zavala’s Fate

“What will happen to Zavala?” has been a burning question in the Destiny 2 franchise of late. For those who have yet to catch up on what has transpired, our Commander’s voice actor, Lance Reddick, has ended his journey in this world at the age of 60. Thus, leaving the beloved Vanguard’s fate hanging in uncertainty. However, the ambiguity has come to pass. As Bungie recently disclosed what they have in store.

A recent blog post from the studio confirmed that, luckily, Lance Reddick will still be featured in future updates. He was able to record lines that have yet to be included in the game. There is no detailed information about the specifics of what may come next. But fans of the Titan Vanguard can rest at ease knowing their Commander is safe for now.

For now, we will honor his presence through his performances yet to come in the game, and in the memories that will last us a lifetime. We are deeply saddened by his passing but so thankful for the time we spent together, and our thoughts are with his friends and loved ones.

Reddick passed away on March 17, leaving behind an enormous legacy in both the movie and gaming communities. He was not only a voice actor, but also a dedicated player of the FPS title. In the wake of his death, Guardians gathered around the in-game Commander to pay him tribute. In the meantime, fans can take comfort in knowing that his voice continues to be a part of the game. His legacy lives on, both as Zavala and as a beloved member of the community.
