Following the success of the Super Mario Bros. Movie last year, which grossed over $1.36 billion worldwide, Nintendo and Illumination have once again joined hands to offer fans more adventures from the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond. In a recent Mario Day video, Shigeru Miyamoto and Chris Meledanari revealed that a new animated film set in the Super Mario Bros. universe is currently in production.
