WoW MoP Remix Leveling Guide: Cloak of Infinite Potential Is a Must-Have

The event’s main feature is that you can level up your characters in myriad ways with an accelerated speed by completing Timerunning raids, scenarios, and dungeons to obtain Threads of Times, Bronze Caches, and other valuable items.

These can assist you in developing a new artifact piece of gear called the Cloak of Infinite Potential, which in turn will help you quickly level up your characters.

To get the Cloak of Infinite Potential, start by logging into the game and creating your first Timerunning character. This action triggers the “It’s About Time” quest, which marks the beginning of your journey. You will receive the quest from Eternus. Follow the quick introductory questline, and upon completion, you will be rewarded with the Artifact item, the Cloak of Infinite Potential itself.

This item is essential in the WoW Remix: MoP event as it helps you develop your character and level up your alts faster. At the moment of writing, the Cloak is capped at 200,000 Stamina.

Threads of Time

Whenever you get something from defeated enemies, dungeon and raid bosses, or treasure chests, you will always have an opportunity to obtain a stat boost item called Thread of Time. Each Thread is named after the specific stat bonus it grants your Cloak.

From level 1 through level 29, you will receive Common Threads that will give you +1 bonus stat to your Cloak, which becomes permanent:

Once you equip the Cloak of Infinite Potential, you get an aura buff, Timerunner’s Advantage, which grants you the above bonuses. The more you play and get loot containing Threads, the stronger your Cloak becomes.

Higher-Quality Threads of Time

Once you reach level 30, you will receive higher-quality Threads of Time with increased bonus stats. Here is how it works:

Cache of Infinite Treasure

Additionally, Threads may be found in a Cache of Infinite Treasure. Although each quest you complete will earn you a Cache, you may also get it from random dungeon queues. These Caches usually contain Bronze, gear pieces, or new gems. Plus, you may also find various consumables like bandages, potions, and buff scrolls in them.

To save you time, we suggest you install a WeakAuras addon made by Fielmacrits, which automatically opens Caches for you.

If you do not want to spend time installing it, here is a handy macro that you can employ to check your bags and open any Caches available periodically.

To add it, press Esc, find the Macros button, and type the following command into the window. Afterward, save the macro and drag it onto your action bars:

/use Cache of Infinite Treasure

Will Your Alts Inherit Cloak’s Progression?

The answer is both yes and no. This topic is quite tricky, and many players have fallen prey to it, which has resulted in disappointment. Anyway, keep reading to get everything straight, as there are some nuances you should know about.

Infinite Power Achievements Matter

After the release of Mists of Pandaria: Remix, the community discovered 13 account-wide achievements called Infinite Power. The initial achievement, Infinite Power, is granted to players upon equipping the Cloak of Infinite Potential.

Subsequent achievements, such as Infinite Power I, are earned by collecting 40x Threads, and so on. You can further progress by participating in the event and collecting more Threads for your Cloak.

WoW MoP Remix Leveling Guide: Cloak of Infinite Potential

Here is an example of how the new Cloak system functions. We have used the numbers for your convenience:

  1. The first picture displays the stats of a character who has already gotten the Infinite Power XII achievement.
  2. In the second picture, you can observe the stats of a newly-created character who has skipped the questline and obtained the Cloak. Thanks to the aforementioned achievement, the Cloak of the newly-created character has been buffed.

As you progress further, any new alt will have higher starting stats for their Cloak of Infinite Potential. Therefore, you should obtain the final Infinite Power XII achievement before creating alts, not the other way around.

  1. The stats of the character who has obtained the Cloak for the first time are shown in the third picture.

After obtaining the final 13th achievement, Infinite Power XII, your alt’s Cloak will have the following stat bonuses from the beginning. Make sure any already created alt needs to re-equip the Cloak to update the bonuses from the achievement:

In summary, your main character Cloak’s progress will significantly benefit your alts in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. The more time you invest in leveling up your main character and improving their Cloak, the more your alts’ Cloaks will be strengthened. This leads to quicker leveling, thanks to the bonus experience boost.

WoW MoP Remix Leveling Guide: How to Skip the Tutorial

WoW MoP Remix Leveling Guide: How to Skip the Tutorial

Once you have created another Timerunning character, you do not have to redo the whole tutorial if you have already completed it; instead, you can skip it with Eternus assistance and immediately receive the coveted Cloak of Infinite Potential.

WoW MoP Remix Leveling Guide: Best Ways to Level Up

Mailbox Method

Currently, it’s one of the quickest, most time-saving, and effective methods available. You’ll soon be able to store Experience in your Mailbox, open it, and benefit from the percentage increase in Experience after powering up your Cloak.

When creating an alt, your main max-level character grants a 100% extra Experience boost. Doing activities like LFR, dungeons, weeklies, and raids increases the Experience gained on your Cloak. For example, defeating Normal-difficulty bosses gives you 14% per boss, while completing an LFR grants you 7%. Our goal is to save this bonus Experience

So, what are we going to do? First, download the Auto Looter addon, which lets you blacklist items, preventing you from picking them up when looting bosses. Copy these commands to add items to the blacklist by their IDs:

/autolooter blacklist add 224408
/autolooter blacklist add 224407
/autolooter blacklist add 220764
/autolooter blacklist add 220763

With this addon and the four strings attached, carry on with the following activities:

  1. Once you hit level 10 and unlock LFG, run 8 Heroic dungeons until you reach level 25.
  2. After reaching level 25, proceed to do Normal-difficulty Mogu’shan Vaults. Remember not to loot the Bonus XP token during this process.
  3. Queue up for 6 to 8 Heroic dungeons until you reach level 35.
  4. At level 35, take on the Normal-difficulty Heart of Fear.
  5. Complete 4 to 6 Heroic dungeons until you reach level 42 or 43.
  6. Once you hit level 42 or 43, tackle the Normal-difficulty Terrace of Endless Spring.

Upon completing these steps, check your Mailbox, grab all the XP Boost Tokens available, and advance from level 42 to 70 in the blink of an eye!

Anyway, be cautious, for you may become very weak thanks to the scaling issues. Some players even say they had to complete some non-combat quests to get some decent gear. Are you just leveling to hit 70 for the bonus Bronze? If so, you will be okay with this.

However, if you intend to play that character, be prepared for potential issues by taking care of your gear and doing some simple quests to have some armor at level 70.

Questing

The questing Experience is similar to when Blizzard launched the Mists of Pandaria, so do not expect to discover anything new regarding the story or quests as you progress to level 70

The zones added in later patches when Pandaria was the actual expansion, such as the Timeless Isle or the Isle of Thunder, are in the game and ready to visit. There is no time-gating on the actual content; you need to reach the required level to start the quests in those areas.

Also, questing will reward you with Experience and Bronze Caches to open. If you follow the campaign quests, remember that flying is unlocked right from the event’s start, so you should have access to all of your flying and Dragonriding mounts.

While questing is a good way to level up, group content like raids or dungeons can be more effective. We recommend you join a queue, try it out, and decide if it suits you after completing a few dungeons or raids.

Leveling Route

To level up faster, you can choose from the following locations:

Often, you’ll find that reaching level 70 only requires completing two and a half zones. We suggest avoiding the Isle of Thunder for leveling. The quests there aren’t optimized for leveling, so you’ll end up spending a lot of time just to scrape a pinch of XP.

From the start, you will have flying available, significantly speeding up your leveling experience and making questing more enjoyable. Also, you will have Dragonriding unlocked by default. Sounds awesome!

Timerunning Dungeons and Scenarios

Timerunning dungeons and scenarios are available from level 10 through the Group Finder, so there is no need to set up groups manually. The more you level up, the more of them you can participate in.

You can easily defeat the mobs, vanquish the bosses, gather your loot and XP, and then return to the queue. So, remember to team up with other players to complete every activity faster and stick together. It is the golden rule to gain Experience.

Once you complete one of the Timerunning scenarios or dungeons on Normal difficulty through the Group Finder, you receive a Minor Bronze Cache. It comprises a Cache of Infinite Treasure, where you may find different gems, clothes, potions, and other valuable items.

As for Heroic Timerunning scenarios and dungeons, completing one of them grants a Lesser Bronze Cache. It includes 400x Bronze, which you can use to purchase items such as transmogs and mounts from the Infinite Bazaar vendors.

Temerunning Scenarios

If you did not play the actual version of Mists of Pandaria, scenarios are like mini-dungeons where you do not need to stick to a tank, healer, or DPS role. Just complete a few different objectives, and you are good to go. Here is a list of all the Timerunning scenarios available in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria:

Timerunning Dungeons

Timerunning dungeons are actually dungeons from the original Mists of Pandaria expansion but with some of the older ones updated. Due to the Group Finder, you can return to your favorite old content, defeat bosses, grab valuable loot, and receive extra Experience.

Plus, when you first enter the dungeon, in the beginning NPCs always give quests that you can complete to get extra Experience and Bronze Caches. Below is a list of all the Timerunning dungeons available in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria:

LFR

Thanks to the recent hotfix, the LFR feature now awards a Perpetual Thread of Experience, permanently increasing your Experience by 7%. It is exciting news, as it provides an additional way for players to gain extra Experience daily with minimal effort. Here is a list of the raids available for queueing through the Raid Finder:

Sometimes, the LFR Threads are not automatically applied to the Cloak, so you need to open your inventory and click on it manually. Keep this fact in mind.

Running Normal Raids

In Mists of Pandaria: Remix, running raids on Normal difficulty has been highly beneficial, as the loot per boss always contains Bonus Experience and an Infinite Thread of Experience, permanently increasing your Experience by 12%

For example, Mogu’shan Vaults has six bosses, which means a bonus of 72% experience gained for everything after completing the raid. Since raids reset on a daily basis, every boss will contribute to speeding up your leveling, even if you cannot vanquish them all. Here is a list of the rewards you may obtain from Normal-difficulty bosses in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria:

Starter Account Method

We are anxious to present one of the best leveling methods bound up with creating a WoW Starter account. This method allows you to earn around 30,000 Bronze per hour and helps you level up a few characters to level 70, which is quite intriguing!

What do you need to do, you ask? First, you must create a new starter account using your actual Battle.net one. Follow the official Blizzard site link and click the Create Starter Account button. Make sure your main account has an active subscription to make this method function. Also, you can ask your friend to assist you and keep you company for the next 2 or 3 hours if you want to avoid having two WoW windows open simultaneously.

One of the most popular classes for this strategy is the Holy Priest, which has the 10-level Holy Nova talent. Also, get the Searing Light tinker gem for the most success. It works well with classes that have healing abilities, and Priest gets the most bonuses among other healing classes with the help of it. Considering these two factors, you can effortlessly run through dungeons by spamming Holy Nova and wiping out enemies fast.

In the image above, Reddit user ArcheroNightmare has successfully leveled their character to level 70 in almost three hours using this starter-edition method, which sounds mind-blowing. This is why you should create a Holy Priest in WoW Remix: MoP. Pick this class and level it up to 20, afterward invite your main-account alt and queue up for Heroic-difficulty dungeons. In just 2 or 3 hours, you’ll have another level 70 character ready to go.

However, if you want to level up your 20-level character even faster, you can gear up them a bit. Still, it’s optional because the time you’ll spend getting one character to level 70 will take about 3 hours, which is not very long compared to how much time players usually spend in WoW MoP Remix.

WoW MoP Remix Leveling Guide: Consumables

Using the best consumables for leveling up in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria is crucial for faster progress. To assist you, Blizzard has added a Dragonkin merchant that sells scrolls, bandages, potions, and other consumables.

WoW MoP Remix Leveling Guide: Infinite Bazaar

The vendor’s name is Nostwin, and you can locate it at the Infinite Bazaars throughout the following Pandaria locations:

General Vendors

Alliance and Horde Vendors

WoW MoP Remix Leveling Guide: Consumables

Depending on your faction, Nostwin can also be found in the following Vale of Eternal Blossoms shrines. The vendor always sells the same pool of goods, and the only difference is that these two Mogu shrines it resides in are faction-specific due to the lore:

Conclusion

When choosing the best way to level up in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria, the best option for you always depends on your preferences. If you enjoy teaming up with other players, participating in raids, dungeons, and scenarios is the way to go. But if you prefer playing solo, focusing on quests is also a good but slower choice.

Remember that if you combine all the above activities, you can greatly enhance your leveling experience. We hope that this WoW MoP Remix leveling guide has been informative for you and that you have learned a lot of new information.
