WoW RWF Dreamrift exploited: RAoV QA stikes back!

1 min read 0 1

The Race to World First in WoW has once again been disrupted by exploit abuse, as the notorious group RAoV returned with another illegitimate clear.

Key takeaways:

  • Recurring exploit disruptions: RAoV QA interferes with Dreamrift RWF event in WoW, executing blatantly illegitimate clears.
  • Ongoing QA vulnerabilities: Their actions continue to expose gaps in encounter testing and raid integrity, putting pressure on Blizzard.
  • Cycle of bans and returns: Despite swift enforcement and account bans, the group consistently reappears.

A new controversy has emerged in World of Warcraft’s competitive raiding scene, as a group known as RAoV QA once again drew attention for an illegitimate high-end clear. Their actions were quickly flagged by the community and addressed by Blizzard Entertainment, continuing a long-running pattern of exploit-related incidents that surface during major raid races.

Now let’s get back to the RAoV QA RWF Dreamrift explot.

Dreamrift RWF exploit

Screenshot of RAoV QA claiming World First Dreamrift with an exploit.

Continuing their antics from The War Within, RAoV QA entered The Dreamrift and defeated Mythic Chimaerus while wearing low-tier blue and green gear. Blizzard Entertainment swiftly removed the kill from the Hall of Fame. The entry was removed within hours, though some character achievements remain visible.

What is RAoV QA

RAoV QA, short for Random Acts of Violation Quality Assurance, is an exploit group known for openly mocking Blizzard Entertainment’s QA processes. Their activity peaked during the Liberation of Undermine raid in World of Warcraft, where they illegitimately secured a World First kill on Gallywix. Prior to the Dreamrift incident, they had also shared footage of their exploits through their YouTube channel.

The name itself traces back to Random Acts of Violation (RAoV), an older exploit group active in the early to mid-2010s that was largely shut down around 2018. The modern “QA” iteration is likely either a revival or a copycat.

It is clear that this group will actively monitor potential exploits during Midnight Lifetime (and possibly March on Quel’Danas raid).
