The 20th Anniversary is finally here, and players are celebrating at full capacity. However, one of the anniversary events became a hot topic of discussion. Mount Mania event NPC Abigail Cyrildotr suddenly started legit trolling players with her collection. Normally, during this event, she would summon different mounts, and players had to show her the same ones from their collection. However, the community started to notice that her choices became somewhat unspeakable.
Rarest mounts in Mount Mania
Players were surprised when Abigail Cyrildotr started teasing them with legendary mounts in terms of rareness. Screenshots of these started appearing all over the internet. Here are a few examples of Mount Mania event trolling players with rarest mounts:
- Black Qiraji Battle Tank – could only be obtained by a complicated quest during the opening event of the Temple of An’Qiraj in Original Vanilla WoW patch 1.9. Supposedly, it is the rarest mount in World of Warcraft since less than 1% of players have it.
- Swift Zulian Tiger – could be obtained in the Zul’Gurub raid and became impossible to get after patch 4.0.3a. This mount is extremely rare, and very few people have it these days. From time to time, it can appear on the Black Market. But players instantly buy it out with a cap of 99,999,999 gold.
- Swift Spectral Tiger – could be obtained by redeeming the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game (TCG) loot card from the Fires of Outland set. The chances of getting this card were somewhere around 1 in 7,000. And since WoW TCG was gone by March 2010, these code cards can rarely be seen on different selling platforms, and their cost starts from ~$5,000.
Unsurprisingly, almost no one had these rare mounts during Mount Mania competitions, where they were shown. The situation becomes even more absurd when one remembers that matching at least one mount is necessary for the I Have That One! achievement. This sub-achievement is a part of obtaining Coldflame Tempest mount for which we have a How to get the Anniversary Coldflame Tempest mount in 1 day guide, featuring a Plumber addon for better navigation during the Mount Mania event.
Community opinion on WoW 20th anniversary Mount Mania
Reddit bizarre competition
Many players shared their emotions on Reddit, reacting to such Mount Mania trolling in WoW 20th anniversary:
Looks like the real competition is to screenshot even crazier mounts during this event, players say.
Mount Mania shows Blizzard Shop mounts
Sometimes, Abigail Cyrildotr shows mounts from Blizzard Shop during the Mount Mania Competition. And this behavior is very questionable for many players. A big part of the community found this fact disturbing, as this competition has to embrace players for spending time and passionately adding more mounts to their collection. And simply buying some in Blizzard Shop is not a sign of devotion for many.
What’s next for Mount Mania?
We wonder if Abigail Cyrildotr will continue pulling aces from her sleeves, asking players to show their Big Blizzard Bears (~1% of players), Magic Roosters (less than 1% of players), and Black Proto Drakes (less than 1% of players). Or imagine her starting to show Gladiator mounts that can only be obtained from PvP grinding. That would mean less than 1% of players possibly have them. And the earlier the PvP Season is, the fewer chances of seeing anyone in the crowd with such artifacts of history.
