This is why we created this Legion Remix leveling guide. Here we gathered all the info necessary to quickly reach the level cap. Doing so will grant access to all endgame activities, allowing you to farm your rewards faster.

WoW Legion Remix leveling explained

(Source: Wowhead)

You must create a new character since the Legion Remix is a separate game mode. You won’t be able to use your character from The War Within. The newly created characters in Legion Remix start from level 10. Legion Remix max level is 80.

The game mode provides many rewards, both legacy and new ones, but you need a level 80 character to get most of them. For example, one of the ways to receive a new unique class mount requires you to reach the level cap on the corresponding class.

Several systems were added to speed up the process, increasing the experience received. These include brand-new daily quests, an experimental difficulty mode, and Warband buffs for story progression. We advise you to first and foremost focus on obtaining these buffs, as they significantly speed up leveling.

During Legion Remix, you can send your characters to The War Within. The process can’t be reversed. This makes Legion Remix a perfect mode to level up your alts.

You can learn more about transferring your character in the article below.

WoW Legion Remix experience buffs

Before we start leveling characters, there are several things that players should consider to get experience buffs in Legion Remix.

Legion Remix Infinite Research

Legion Remix Infinite Research is the important staple of leveling. Infinite Research is a daily quest that allows you to select your own objective to receive various rewards. What is essential from a leveling perspective is that each completed quest increases the amount of XP received for the whole Warband.

1% per quest doesn’t seem that much, but considering they are daily, they stack up pretty fast. At the start, you can do 6 quests per character per day, but as you do more of them, you can raise the daily limit to 12 and 18 quests. This means that if you do all dailies on several alts, you can get about a 100% bonus experience buff in a day, depending on the number of quests completed.

You can take these quests at the Infinite Bazaar. This newly added area, just south of Broken Isles’ Dalaran, serves as an event hub for Legion Remix. You can find the portal leading there in Dalaran.

Here are the coordinates for the Infinite Bazaar portal in Dalaran:

/way 48 70

You can learn more about Infinite Research in artcile below.

Legion Remix progression buffs

Legion Remix progression buffs earned experience via Perfected Epoch Memento, helping you to reach the maximum level faster.

The initial opening scenario grants you a 10% Warband XP boost.

When you reach your Class Hall, you will be given a chance to earn an Artifact Weapon. Since you got yours in the opening scenario, another reward is given if you pursue the same weapon again. After getting the same Artifact Weapon, you will be awarded a Bronze Simulacrum. You can use it to complete the Just Between Us quest from Momentus at Infinite Bazaar, Dalaran. Completing this quest grants another one-time 10% Warband XP increase.

Each zone in Legion has its own story campaign. Completing a zone storyline provides a permanent 10% bonus increase to received experience. Up to 5 Perfected Epoch Mementos can be earned that way.

Reaching level 40 on your first character provides a one-time bonus of 10% increased experience. Reaching level 80 also provides a permanent 10% bonus. However, this bonus is given for every Legion Remix character that has reached the level cap. Both are collected from Moratari [7.0; 15.8], who awaits you at the Infinite Bazaar, Dalaran.

Below is the list of all sources of Perfected Epoch Memento:

The overall bonus you can collect for the whole event is a 400% bonus experience.

At level 70, you can get a Lesson in Alacrity quest from Moratari. This quest grants Moratari’s Infinite Wisdom buff that increases experience from enemies by 250%. Note that this is not a Warband quest and the buff only applies to the character completing the quest.

Legion Remix Heroic world tier

(Source: MrGM)

Legion Remix Heroic world tier allows you to select the difficulty of the world content. Selecting the Heroic world tier makes every enemy more resilient and stronger, and gives them affix-like improvements

Defeating such enemies, however, provides better rewards. This includes Bronze, Infinite Power, and 500% increased experience. It is a vast improvement since Warband bonuses also affect this experience. The bonus even affects enemies in dungeons.

However, one should not treat the Heroic world tier lightly. It is basically a hard mode. Enemies become more challenging, requiring a careful approach. So one must decide if the bonus is worth it or if they prefer a more chill world content.

You can switch between Heroic and Normal world tiers using the Console of Infinite Chaos in Infinite Bazaar. To access it, you must complete a short introductory quest, Infinite Chaos. Heroic tier can only be accessed via the Console. You can leave it at any time using the Temporal Retreat general action.

WoW Legion Remix leveling: best ways to level up

Now that we have figured out how to increase your experience gains, it is time to figure out the best ways to level up.

Important

Experience buffs significantly speed up the leveling process, no matter the chosen method. You can get to level 80 with the maximum bonus in a few hours. So, focusing on getting as close as possible to a 400% bonus is essential if you plan to level multiple characters. Do not underestimate the importance of doing Infinite Research quests on your alts. Doing even 6 dailies on 4–5 characters will increase your experience bonus by 24–30% bonus daily.

Legion Remix questing

Legion Remix questing should be the primary way to level up your character, at least the first one. As was mentioned before, completing the main campaign for the zone grants a permanent 10% bonus to your Warband.

From the start of the Remix, you have access to all the zones of the Broken Isles. Below are the zones and storylines you need to complete to receive an XP increase:

Each storyline includes many quests. Considering this and other factors, you may finish leveling faster than completing all these campaigns. In such cases, we advise you to create a new character and complete the remaining campaigns to not waste all the experience.

Of course, every zone has many additional quests. But if you want increased experience, we recommend focusing on completing the main campaign and moving on to the next zone. Doing so will provide you with a permanent total 50% bonus experience increase.

Legion Remix dungeon leveling

Legion Remix timerunning dungeons include all the dungeons from the original expansion release. Dungeon spam is one of the most effective methods to level up, especially if you have a premade group.

Waiting in dungeon queues can take a while if you play DPS. But on the other hand, you can use that time to do story campaigns. Healers and Tanks can spam dungeons, as their queues are usually quicker. Currently, Healers get an instant queue for any dungeon. If your class has a Healer spec, you can use this to your advantage.

Dungeons are not just a great source of experience, but also provide you with gear and upgrades for your Artifact Weapon. Some dungeons are also necessary to complete the zone’s story campaign. The next dungeons are available at the start of the Legion Remix.

It is a good idea to run these dungeons while leveling to get used to mechanics, since they are all part of the endgame Mythic+ lineup. You can learn more about these dungeons in our article below.

Legion Remix LFR leveling

One of the most time-efficient ways to level in Legion Remix is using LFR. LFR difficulty provides players with the easiest version of the raid encounters. And since LFR is available starting from level 20, you can use it to quickly gain levels.

The particular LFR wing that is the most time-efficient is the Rift of Aln from The Emerald Nightmare. The easiest of all, it contains only one boss, Xavius, who is defeated in a few minutes. Depending on your current bonus experience buff, you can get several levels’ worth of XP in a single clear.

You can effectively combine waiting for your LFR queue while doing your daily Infinite Research, completing story campaigns, or farming mobs in the Heroic World tier.

Legion Remix Heroic World tier leveling

The Heroic world tier is mainly used by players in the end game to farm Infinite Power, Bronze, and other rewards. But the mode is available from the start, as you can enter Heroic tier as early as level 10. This means you can use it to level up your character.

You can do quests in Heroic world tier to get more experience and loot from enemies along your quest path, but not from the quests themselves. Questing DPS and Healers should do this to receive a little extra.

Tanks, however, may use the advantages of the Heroic world tier to their fullest. With their innate survivability and self-healing, Tanks can gather big groups of enemies and farm them very early. It is something that most Healers and DPS can’t afford, as they are usually not durable enough to survive huge groups of enemies in Heroic tier, even with self-healing.

Conversely, Tanks can survive long enough to defeat huge groups and quickly get another. As they level up, they get access to more self-healing and defensive tools, making the farm easier. And don’t forget Artifact Weapon talents. The Fel Path that starts with Twisted Crusade is a perfect choice for the farm, as it entirely focuses on providing more damage. And this is precisely what Tanks need.

There is no best spot for such a farm, as enemies will scale with your level. So any place with high enemy density is good. One advice is to choose spots close to a zone’s campaign quests. That way, there will always be people joining you and helping you eliminate groups of enemies even faster.

A few examples of such zones are:

/way 55.00 47.50
/way 42.40 46.46
/way 57.14 14.34
/way 64.60 76.13
/way 57.95 54.01
/way 62.08 35.42
/way 39.05 38.13
/way 48.67 26.51
/way 50.28 43.89
/way 43.26 45.70
/way 43.80 67.01
/way 57.18 42.96
/way 23.14 42.37

Legion Remix experience exploits

Although not necessarily intended as ways to earn experience, there are some unconventional methods one can use to level up in Legion Remix. Although they are still slower than amassing experience bonuses, they can be used to quickly raise some levels. But since they are unintended, developers can nerf them at any time.

Prince Farondis farm

Following the Azsuna campaign quests, you will eventually meet Prince Farondins. Continue doing that storyline, and you’ll eventually get captured by the naga and trigger the Save Yourself quest. In this quest, we are given control over Farondis, who is extremely overpowered and can one-shot any enemy. Before taking that quest, return to Dalaran and activate Heroic World tier. Then return and take the quest.

Instead of following the intended quest path, travel as Farondis to Illidari’s Stand (you can see the point on the Azsuna’s map above). This is the only area that has enemies that grant experience, so abuse Farondis’s ridiculous strength to defeat any enemy you see. This method is valuable until level 70, as the amount of experience is reduced significantly after, and not even Moratari’s Infinite Wisdom buff helps.

Deadwind Pass Dalaran farm

This exploit uses a mysterious version of Dalaran that players found in Deadwind Pass. To reach it, travel to Broken Isles’s Dalaran and enter the Chamber of the Guardian in the center of the city. From there, take the portal to Karazhan. Fly up to the tower, and from there continue flying directly up until you see the city of Dalaran pop out of thin air. Avoid clipping through structures; instead, try to enter the city from the sides.

This version of Dalaran is perpetually locked in fighting against infernal invaders. Defeating enemies grants experience here, and they respawn very fast. What makes it a favorable location is that you only need to tag the enemy to receive full experience for the kill. All the work will be done by the city’s defenders, as they are programmed to quickly defeat any enemy that appears. You can just run around the city and use your attacks to tag everything you see.

This is a perfect spot to level while waiting in the dungeon or LFR queues. Or you can even AFK farm if you have a pet or an Artifact Weapon skill with a retaliation effect, like I Am My Scars! Just avoid the central portal chamber, since it will teleport you to the Chamber of the Guardian of Broken Isles’ Dalaran.

Legion Remix leveling alts

Leveling alts in Legion Remix allows you to save some Bronze, as you will receive their new Legion Remix class mounts for free. This, however, raises the question of how quickly you can you can level up your alts?

If you managed to amass a huge bonus experience buff, the answer is simple: follow your Class Hall campaign. It is a series of quests with most of them being done instantly in your Class Hall, while they still provide you with full rewards. Just doing that campaign on your alt will be enough to go through most of their leveling journey. And you can finish what is left by some extra quests or dungeons.

But what if your bonus is not high enough? This means you have to put some effort. Thankfully, alts hold the answer to that. Every alt you have allows you to do an additional batch of daily Infinite Research quests on that alt. Meaning the more alts you have, the more quests you can do, the more experience bonus you will get. After finishing all the dailies, focus on getting one of your alts to 80. This gives a permanent 10% experience bonus from Moratari.

Give preference to alts with classes that have access to Tank or Healer specs. These roles have near-instant dungeon queues, allowing you to spam them nonstop for quick leveling. Tanks can also efficiently farm in Heroic World tier, if you prefer to avoid group content. If you play that way, still queue for LFR. This will allow you to quickly get that high bonus experience buff. And with it, leveling other alts will be a piece of cake, leading you to free mounts and other rewards.
