Best Brann Ky’veza setup

Brann Bronzbeard is the only source of help you can rely on if you attempt to complete this challenge solo. With the proper setup, he can tremendously help you out and increase the chances of victory.
Ky’veza Brann roles
The best Ky’veza Brann roles are Healer and DPS, depending on your role. Although Tank can also be useful, since Ky’veza doesn’t have adds, other roles have more value.
DPS. A perfect choice for Tank, Healer, and some DPS players, as classes of these roles have high self-sustainability levels. Since one mistake can easily result in a wipe, you want to finish the fight as soon as possible, and extra damage from Brann will help. The best combat curio for DPS Brann is Nether Overlay Matrix. It creates a weaker copy of Brann for an entire minute.
Healer. A safer option for those who need more sustain, mostly DPS. Having a Healer Brann allows you to fully concentrate on damage. You also get an extra room for some mistakes, as Brann can save you in a pinch. The best combat curio for Healer Brann is Hatarang. It allows Brann to apply a random debuff to an enemy that mostly hinders the enemy’s offense. The most valuable one, however, increases damage taken by the enemy. That way, Healer Brann can significantly contribute to your damage.
Are Brann curios necessary?
Although winning the fight without relying on Brann is possible, every little bit helps. Curios scale well with each upgrade, so preparing them significantly increases your chances of winning.
The win in this challenge depends on your personal skill, but having good curios never hurts anybody.
Best Brann Curios for Ky’veza
- Nether Overlay Matrix. A combat curio that creates a weakened Brann copy. At maximum level, the copy deals 40% damage of the original and persists for 1 minute. This curio has approximately one proc per minute, allowing you nearly 100% uptime.
- Hatarang. A combat curio that grants Brann a chance to apply a random debuff to an enemy. The list of debuffs includes decreased damage dealt, increased damage received, and decreased attack and cast speed. All of them are valuable, but increased damage received allows Brann to amplify his and your damage.
- Audio Amplification Device. A utility curio that grants Brann a chance to apply a random stat-boosting buff to the whole group, depending on words spoken. These buffs have a 2-minute duration and can stack.
- Battered Aegis. A utility curio that buffs the whole party’s damage by 12% at maximum rank. Also, every 20 seconds, it heals you and Brann for 20% of damage received over that period. It reduces the damage bonus on death, so requip it between the pulls.
Recommended Weak Auras for Brann
Dwarven Medicine Tracker – This ensures 100% uptime on Dwarven Medicine, Brann’s primary healing ability. By maintaining infinite stack building, you significantly increase your sustainability, allowing you to survive longer without relying solely on your healing resources.
Recommended addons for Ky’veza
Deadly Boss Mod (DBM) significantly helps with dealing with boss mechanics. For those who don’t know, the addon provides a live timeline of boss attacks, allowing you to see what is coming next or what to expect. With this addon, you are always ready for the key moments of the fight.
It is possible to clear the fight without it, but you must react to all the attacks as they happen.
Ky’veza Delve Boss guide

Ky’veza is an elusive assassin who employs deadly shadows and Void techniques in battle. Both difficulties use the same skill list, with ??-tier versions getting upgrades.
Below you can find Ky’veza’s mechanics and how to counter them.
Ability | Description | Discription |
---|---|---|
Nexus Daggers | Creates a cone of 5 linear AoEs. Shortly after, five clones quickly follow up with the same attack. Cones are always centered on the player. | You need to dodge five AoEs in a row. Move slightly after every dodge to avoid getting stuck with no space to dodge. |
Nether Rift | Attaches a circle on the player, Brann, and a random arena part. After a short delay, each circle will drop on the ground, creating a deadly zone that draws in the player. | Wait for Brann to position himself to leave the circle and try to place yours to create a triangle. Position yourself in the middle of this triangle so the draw-in effects cancel each other. |
Dark Massacre | A clone appears at a random angle behind the player and starts to charge an attack indicated by a thin red line. This attack one-shots the player, unless they look directly at the clone. Creates 3 clones per cast. . | Turn yourself so your character model looks directly at the clone indicated by the red line. It is one of the most complicated mechanics because the delay between each clone attack is very short. This requires quick and precise reaction from the player. |
Invoke the Shadows | Used at 100 Energy. Five clones appear on the hexagon in the arena’s center. Shortly after, Ky’veza herself takes a vacant spot on the hexagon. Then all of them start to shuffle their positions quickly. After 8 jumps, she begins to channel a one-shot attack. Clicking on real Ky’veza interrupts the cast. Each time Invoke the Shadows is used, Ky’veza gets a stacking 5% damage buff. | First, find a vacant spot on the hexagon so you know where the real Ky’veza will start her jumps. Follow her movements, and after 8 jumps, click on the real one. Something as simple as following along her movements with a finger or a mouse cursor can help if you have difficulty finding the real one. The stacking damage buff is a soft enrage, so you cannot fight her forever. |
Tier-?? increases the fight difficulty by raising the boss’s Health, damage, and making all mechanics more dangerous. Here are the changes to Ky’veza’s abilities.
- Nexus Dagger. Now each cone consists of 7 lines, while the delay between every cast becomes even shorter.
- Nether Rift. Now also casts 3 cone AoEs, making it harder to leave circles in a triangle shape.
- Dark Massacre. Now creates 3 additional clones, meaning you must dodge 6 attacks in a row.
- Invoke the Shadows. Shuffling is now faster and happens a total of 12 times.
Ky’veza strategy breakdown
As you probably noticed, the mechanics this time are slightly different compared to challenges from previous Seasons. There are pros and cons of that.
The good news is that there are no adds, barriers, or casts to interrupt. You can play any class you want if you are confident in your abilities. You are not affected by class not having interrupts or a weak burst.
Bad news is that most of her mechanics require near-perfect execution. Combine that with quick cast times, and you have a very intense and dynamic fight.
But, comparing it to the previous challenge Delves, Ky’veza feels like the fairest fight of them all.
The key to winning this fight is positioning and movement. There is nothing to burst, no casts to interrupt, so focus on getting used to the timings of Ky’veza’s attacks and dodges. It takes some time, but nothing stops you from achieving victory when you learn them.
One mechanic worth mentioning is Dark Massacre. The timing of this attack is extremely tight, and it is also sensitive to your character model’s positioning. You need to look straight at the clone aiming at you and face the next one very fast. Practice makes perfect, but there are two things you can do to make it easier to notice the red laser aimed at you.
- Turn off Anti-Aliasing. Although it makes your picture smoother and nicer, it makes the line indicator thinner.
- Turn on the Outline Mode and set it to high. This will outline the clone, making the red line stand out.
This fight really boils down to learning how to dodge all her attacks. The moment you can do that consistently, even ?? difficulty won’t stop you from getting prizes.
If you still have problems, you can return here later with better gear. Although it won’t help you survive her attacks, you can finish the fight faster, reducing room for mistakes.
