WoW D.R.I.V.E. mechanic is the primary way of traveling in the Undermine(d) zone in TWW Season 2. The developers confirmed that no flying or Skyriding is planned in Undermine(d). DRIVE took a lot from the Skyriding mechanic, adding more dynamics to players’ ground moving. The developers promise that DRIVE vehicles will travel at a speed that is 3-5 times faster than usual mounts and just a little bit faster than Skiriding at maximum speed. But you can still use other mounts if you can’t stand this mechanic.
In one of the Goblin race starting quests, players had an opportunity to ride a very similar vehicle. Since then, many players have dreamed of racing in one of these cars one day. And it seems like this dream will come true for such racing fans. These mounts will be highly customizable and have different boost variations (e.g., efficient and chaotic). Goblin Engineering is known for its explosiveness and unpredictability, meaning D.R.I.V.E. mounts can surprise players in many ways.
Many cosmetics for these cars will likely be obtained by completing different objectives. We had a similar system with Dragonriding Manuscripts in the Dragonflight expansion. But who knows, maybe Engineering will be in high demand among fans of car pimping.
How to unlock D.R.I.V.E
To unlock D.R.I.V.E., players will have to start the Undermine quest chain and get a small excursion from Gas Grimeshank. Players will get their G-99 Breakneck early into Undermine(d) content after completing a few quests like License Not Required and Shipping and Handling from Nanny Talullah. All of this means you will first get our new ”horse” and only then start exploring the Goblin Megapolice.
How to get G-99 Breakneck
You can get the G-99 Breakneck through the Shipping? Handled storyline. It starts with the No More Walkin’ Here quest from Gas Grimeshank. This quest will be available after completing the campaign quest Eyes from Above.

While using DRIVE, players can develop a 3-5 times faster speed than any other normal mount. We also want to mention that DRIVE is not technically a mount. It is a unique vehicle for Undermine city and can only be used in its zone. This means some mount upgrades don’t work for it.
You can use the G-99 for some cool driving, but you’ll need Turbo. Here’s how to generate it.
How to drift with G-99 Breakneck
However, players will have a new, exciting experience while using DRIVE. First of all, we want to introduce you to drift. Hold down Spacebar while riding your car to start drifting, generating 2 Turbo every 0.5 seconds as long as you maintain the drift. Turbo is only restored when turning. Releasing Spacebar will stop the drift.
Drifting not only regenerates Turbo but also allows for sharper turns.
How to collect Kaja’Cola cans
In Undermine, you’ll occasionally find Kaja’Cola cans on the ground, usually in stacks of three. Running over each can restores 5 Turbo.
D.R.I.V.E. customization options
D.R.I.V.E. is a highly customizable vehicle, meaning you can not only choose some colors but also adjust your car’s behavior on the road. DRIVE activities: Shipping and Handling
DRIVE mechanic adds Shipping and Handling activities to the game. Players must navigate Undermine by following arrows and circles to pick up and complete some D.R.I.V.E. jobs. Nanny Tallulah will be your main provider of these activities. By completing such activities, you can receive Cartels renown, Valorstones, Resonance Crystals, Weathered Undermine Crest, Carved Undermine Crest, and gold.
Surge Pricing World Event
Every hour at the half-hour mark, you can compete with other players in Shipping and Handling during Surge Pricing. To check when and where the next event will start, check your Quest Log by pressing ”L”.
All rewards are doubled during this event.
When DRIVE is not an option
If you don’t like the DRIVE mechanic, you can still complete various quests and events on your beloved mounts. Blizzard tried to make this new feature something you don’t have to spend your time doing. By using Caddierufer, you can easily start different tasks from Nanny Tallulah without the need to race.
