How Collector’s Bounty event works

The Collector’s Bounty event increases your chances of getting Legendary mounts, Dungeon and Raid mounts, and select pre-Dragonflight transmog items and their components. Below, we’ve listed the most notable rewards affected by this buff.
Blizzard has confirmed a +5% drop rate increase for most items, and in some cases, the bonus reaches up to 25x. All these bonuses only apply to mounts that have a drop chance. They do not affect mounts with a 100% guaranteed drop from rare mobs, such as the Reins of the Time-Lost Proto-Drake.
The buff is enabled by default, but if you wish to toggle it, simply visit any innkeeper in major cities to turn it off or back on.
When Collector’s Bounty event starts

The Collector’s Bounty event begins on July 1, 2025, and ends on July 29, 2025.
That gives you nearly a full month to farm rare mounts and transmog items at increased drop rates. Don’t miss your chance: check out the full list of affected rewards below.
Collector’s Bounty mounts for farm
Let’s go over all mounts that will have increased drop rates during the Collector’s Bounty event. We’ve organized them by expansion, starting from Classic Era and going through to Shadowlands. You’ll find every mount listed with both the old and the updated drop chances.
Tip
Before we dive into the mount list, let’s start with dungeon mounts rules.
When farming mounts from normal dungeons, there’s an important rule to remember: you can only enter up to 10 dungeons per hour per account—not per character. Once you hit this limit, you’ll be locked out of entering more dungeons until an hour has passed since your earliest run in that batch. After the cooldown expires, you’re free to continue farming.
To reset a dungeon after each run, simply exit the instance, right-click your character’s portrait, and select “Reset All Instances.” This will reset the dungeon so you can enter again for another chance at the mount. If you’re in a group, make sure everyone is outside the dungeon and that you’re the party leader—otherwise, the reset option won’t be available.

Tips for fast mount farming

Here are the most essential tips and tricks to farm mounts efficiently and quickly during the Collector’s Bounty event and after it ends:
- Know your priorities.
Before the event begins, decide which mounts you want to focus on. Look at drop rates, appearances, and how hard the instance is to clear. - Focus on what you already have unlocked.
If an instance requires a long quest chain to unlock, consider skipping it during the event. Focus your time on raids and dungeons you can access immediately. - Know the mount requirements.
Some mounts only drop on Mythic difficulty, while others drop on Normal and up. LFR mounts may require a specific wing. Be sure to check above what mode you need to run. - Use alts.
More characters mean more chances per week. Spread your attempts across multiple alts each week to increase your odds. - Plan your farm route.
SimpleArmory’s planner tool can help you map out a farming path based on the mounts you need. - Farm mounts using the Solo LFR system.
Many mounts can be farmed on any raid difficulty, including LFR. However, accessing LFR solo requires a specific NPC. The full list of available raids and mounts is provided below.

- Check your raid skips.
Raid skips can save you a lot of time. If you’ve unlocked skips in Mythic difficulty, they usually apply to Normal and Heroic as well. Typically, you need to complete a quest given at the start of the raid to unlock the skip, but each raid situation may differ. We’ve gathered the most important tutorials on raid skips below. The Legacy raid guide can help also.
- Build for speed.
Use class movement speed bonuses and gear to speed up your runs. - Use speed foods.
Some foods increase your movement speed. Options like Fried Bonefish or Exquisitely Eviscerated Muscle may help. - Consider skipping Legion.
Legion Remix is confirmed and might make many Legion mounts easier to get. If that event is like MoP Remix, you may want to hold off farming Legion mounts for now.
“We also recommend downloading addons for mount tracking. We’ve put together a dedicated guide to help you with this—hope you find it useful!
