WoW Legion remix tier list criteria
Before ranking Legion Remix artifact talents, we have to state what these rankings are based on. It is easy to differentiate between “does damage” and “does no damage”, but some talents are not meant to damage at all. So instead of focusing on the component, we decided to rate them on how talents perform compared to those with the same purpose.
- S-tier. The best talents. They do the most out of their peers from other trees. They have a lot of value and no difficult conditions to get that value.
- A-tier. Good talents. They are not necessarily broken, but they provide value. The only downside is that S-tier talents are better.
- B-tier. Situational talents. These are good, but they may have some conditions or they do not work on specific roles or specs.
- C-tier. It is a rare occurrence, but these talents are not worth it, no matter how you look at them. Any other option is just better.
Some passives can only be achieved by taking the talent Path, so we don’t rank them separately. We consider those talents when giving rankings to the main active ability of the Path.
WoW Legion Remix talents tier list

Here is our talent tier list for Legion Remix. You can find explanations for positions down below.
S-tier: The best Artifact talents Legion Remix

Below you can find talents that perform the best in Legion Remix.
Twisted Crusade
This active ability belongs to the Fel Path. The path is purely about the damage, and Twisted Crusade reflects that. Using this ability, you get constant periodic AoE damage. At the same time, you will also get access to the burst component thanks to Felspike talent in the Fel Path.
The only condition to get the most out of the Twisted Crusade is to have a lot of Critical Strike to get more procs of Call of the Legion passive. But considering how gearing in Legion Remix works, you get enough crit even on a spec that doesn’t use crit that much.
Call of the Forest
An alternative to the Twisted Crusade from Nature Path, at least for the specs that don’t rely on Critical Strike. Ability is more supportive, providing a burst of AoE damage, shielding, crowd control, and up to 5 stacks of increased attack and casting speed.
What makes it valuable is the Nature Path itself. Following this branch of Artifact talents, you can get up to 30% flat increased damage and healing, thanks to Waking Frenzy. And Dreamweaving further improves Call of the Forest, providing allies with reduced cooldowns and increased class-specific resource generation. A true support pick.
Touch of Malice
Another talent from Fel Path can also be found on jewelry pieces. It is one of the best talents you can get from accessories for damage, and it is a must-have in many builds. This talent allows you to apply a special effect to enemies that repeats a percentage of the damage you dealt in a short duration. The more damage you deal with the rest of your kit, the more damage will be dealt by Touch of Malice.
Another important aspect is that it applies Fel-touched effect to enemies. Some skills outside of Fel Path, for example, Naran’s Everdisc from Arcane Path, are always critical against Fel-touched enemies.
Storm Surger
That is an S-tier talent for any caster. The reason for that is that it allows you to cast while moving. Of course, this is not the only effect; it also deals constant damage to enemies when you move. The better one out of the two options for caster movement.
Terror from Below
A huge boon to AoE damage due to interaction with Fel-touched status. This allows this ability to deal a burst of uncapped AoE damage. Without that, it is quite weak, so you should have either Touch of Malice on your jewelry or follow the Fel Path in your Artifact.
A-tier: Good Artifact talents Legion Remix

Below are good talents in Legion Remix. They are not necessarily the strongest, but they are still quite helpful.
Tempest Wrath
An active ability from Storm Path, it deals ramping up damage to enemies in a small radius around the caster. With all the talents, it also provides users with a stacking Haste and movement speed buff. You will also be able to prolong the duration of Tempest Wrath by collecting orbs. Going this Path involves a lot of movement to get the most damage.
It is definitely not stronger than Twisted Crusade. To get the most value, you may want to play a class that greatly benefits from Haste and is okay being in melee range, as the Tempest Wrath‘s radius is small. It doesn’t have to be a melee DPS; you can use it, for example, on Holy Paladin or specific Healer’s builds, like Fistweaver Monk and Cat Resto Druid.
Volatile Magics
An Arcane Path talent that you can find on accessories. It augments your critical hits with a chance to provide a burst of AoE damage. It is an inferior version of Terror from Below, as it doesn’t interact with Fel-touched and only procs from critical hits.
Soul of the Caw
A Nature Path’s talent, it can be found in jewelry. Grants your attacks a chance to summon birds that will divebomb your target, dealing uncapped AoE damage and healing nearby allies for the same amount. Good ability, but due to interaction with Fel-touched, Terror from Below is better for AoE damage.
Its value lies in following the Nature Path, since each time birds are summoned, you will get a stack of flat damage and healing increase. But on its own, it is just an okay ability.
Light’s Vengeance
A Holy Path ability that is available in accessories. It is similar to Soul of the Caw as it does the same thing, but works slightly differently. With it, your abilities have a chance to heal an ally and deal uncapped AoE damage to all the enemies surrounding that ally.
The healing and damage are doubled if you are Lightforged. This effect can only be obtained by Holy Path users, limiting the effectiveness of this ability on accessories.
I Am My Scars!
The best defense is a good offense. This Fel Path talent can be found on jewelry. Effects are simple: any enemy that hits you gets up to 5 stacks of DoT in retaliation. The damage is doubled against Fel-touched enemies.
Although this ability doesn’t have a real defensive component, it provides quite a bit of damage when used on tanks.
Brewing Storm
Another Storm Path talent that allows casters to move while casting. The difference is in the damage component. Storm Surger deals flat damage to enemies every time you move, while Brewing Storm stores damage while standing still. Then, when you move, all the stored damage gets released at once.
It’s mostly a matter of preference, but Storm Surger is easier to use.
B-tier: Decent talents in Legion Remix

Below, you can find decent or situational talents with a specific niche or too much complexity without providing much competition to talents from higher tiers.
Vindicator’s Judgment
An active ability that grants access to the Holy Path. Although it’s pretty strong, providing both AoE damage and healing, it has some downsides compared to its peers in higher tiers.
Following the Holy Path is the only way to get the best defensive Artifact talent, Xe’ra’s Embrace, but it has a long cooldown of 1.5 minutes. Vindicator’s Judgment also provides a unique Lightforged buff that improves Holy Path’s abilities. Sadly, unlike Fel Path, this buff doesn’t interact with abilities from other Paths.
Completing Holy Path improves Vidicator’s Judgment, but the improvements are also questionable. These improvements make you consider using Vindicator’s Judgment for specific situations instead of on cooldown, minimizing uptime of this ability. Other abilities are more efficient for a single button press, and you can use them on cooldown.
Naran’s Everdisc
An active ability of Arcane Path. It is a double-edged sword ability, as on one hand, it allows you to constantly deal a strong burst of uncapped AoE damage, but on the other hand, it adds another gameplay layer.
The ability throws a disk in the direction your character is looking. Disc deals high damage to every enemy on its path, and after reaching its maximum range, it returns. Catching the disc throws it again, but now it deals even more damage. Per single use, you can throw the disc that way 2 additional times.
This kind of gimmicky mini-game can be fun but also frustrating, so this path is up to your preference. You should also consider that Arcane Path doesn’t have powerful talents. Hence, the effectiveness of the Arcane Path relies heavily on you catching discs.
If you want to try this path out, you must obtain Touch of Malice. And don’t forget Storm Surger for casters.
Arcane Ward
The “best” defensive ability you can find on accessories. All the available defensive abilities are questionable in terms of their effectiveness. What makes this one the best is that you get a damage-absorbing shield by standing still for several seconds.
You have to choose it if you are using Arcane Path, but other Path users should seek to replace it with something else.
Temporal Retaliation
An alternative to I Am My Scars! from Arcane Path. This ability trades damage for a defensive component but is also harder to activate. It only works if you have a damage absorption barrier. Every time your barrier is struck, the attacker gets damaged and has their attack speed reduced by 20%. The damage dealt that way is weaker than from I Am My Scars!
C-tier: Struggling talents in Legion Remix

Below are talents that struggle to find use in Legion Remix due to their effects or triggering conditions. We advise you not to use jewelry with these talents.
Highmountain Fortitude
It could be an outstanding talent if not for its trigger condition. With it, every 12 seconds, you start to accumulate a percentage of damage dealt to you over the next 8 seconds. After that, the accumulated damage becomes a protective barrier for 4 seconds.
This triggering condition makes this talent a very unreliable defensive ability. You have no control over it, meaning it can trigger at a time when you do not need it at all. Or it will trigger too late. If the condition changed, for example, from timer to a certain Health threshold, that would make this one of the best defensive Artifact talents.
Arcane Aegis
Another defensive talent that is relatively easy to use, but has conditions that make it more of a chore. With it, while walking backward, you channel a defensive barrier. The barrier itself is strong, but several limitations are set in place.
First, while moving backward, you get slowed by 80%. Next, when the barrier shatters, you can’t use it for the next 30 seconds. And obviously, while you channel it, you cannot do anything else.
The slow component should be removed to make it somewhat good. But as it is now, you should avoid this talent.
