Rage of the Firelands update date
Rage of the Firelands update is coming to live servers on October 29, 2024. Players will have to defend Azeroth from Ragnaros and his allies. And this is about to get hot!
New Hight-Defenition textures
Previously, the community found out that Cataclysm Classic may receive visual improvement via datamining. We took a closer look at this leak in our WoW Cataclysm Classic May Receive Improved Graphics article. Finally, this assumption was confirmed. With the Rage of the Firelands update release, players can enhance the game’s graphics. New Hight-Defenition textures will be available to use in the game. Here is an example of these textures’ differences:
New difficulty
Heroes will emerge into a new Elemental Bonds questline story and will face different challenges. This update brings Elemental Rune Dungeons: Protocol Inferno difficulty to the game, allowing layers to get new rewards.
New legendary weapon
Warlocks, Mages, Priests, Shamans, and Druids are about to start their new journey via Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest questline. This legendary staff is a new desired weapon for all these casters. We explained every step on how to get it in our How to Get Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest Legendary Staff guide. Blizzard assures us that this weapon’s requirements will be easier to meet, unlike in the original Cataclysm expansion.
Firelands Raid release date
Soon after Rage of the Firelands update, Ragnaros will besiege Mount Hyjal. Players can face him after Firelands Raid’s release on November 7, 2024. In this raid, players will be fighting against 7 bosses:
- Beth’tilac, The Red Widow
- Lord Rhyolith
- Alysrazor
- Shannox
- Baleroc, The Gatekeeper
- Majordomo Staghelm, Archdruid of the Flame
- Ragnaros, The Firelord
The Firelands Raid will be available in two difficulties: Normal and Heroic. Both these difficulties will be very different, bringing players various experiences during boss encounters.
New mounts
Upon death, Alysrazor has a chance to drop Flametalon of Alysrazor. And defeating Ragnaros can reward you with Smoldering Egg of Millagazor. Both these blazing mounts can become a part of your collection! Here is a glimpse of them:
