New LFG tool to WoW Fresh Classic: more changes to the game!
Blizzard doesn’t stop with new features being added to the game. Another thing players will experience in WoW Fresh Classic is an LFG tool!

The Blue post by Community Manager Kaivax was updated recently, adding new sections. One is User Interface and Looking for Group, for which Kaivax has provided additional information. With this, we have confirmation that the LFG tool will be added to WoW Fresh Classic, replacing the old Guild tool. Besides that, Blizzard will add a Services chat channel where players can advertise their Portal and Summon lots.
New LFG tool to WoW Fresh Classic
WoW Fresh Classic servers will soon be launched. With that, we are getting even more information about changes coming to the game. Aside from changes on GDKP policy and dual specs coming to the game, we are getting a revamped LFG tool to Fresh Classic. A recently updated community post by Kaivax has announced that the LFG tool is finally coming to Fresh Classic and replacing the old Guild tool interface.
The reasoning behind adding an LFG tool to the game is simple. Blizzard refers to players who, without LFG tools, will create add-ons that expand basic features in the game. With that, the game has a problem with a dichotomy within players. Basic players who don’t use add-ons are either forced to download add-ons or have a disadvantage in a game. Because of the Classic Era’s social aspect, many players have been asking for a tool to form a group or adding LFG-like add-ons.
To solve this problem, Blizzard has decided to implement an LFG tool as a basic function in the game. The tool will work similarly to the retail alternative and will replace the old Guild Interface. However, players who think this will break their immersion in the game may switch back to the Vanilla Guild Interface at any moment.
Blizzard will also add a Services channel to make your chat screen even cleaner, so players can advertise their Class Abilities or Professional Items like potions or engineering bombs. Advertising outside of this channel will be subjected to be reported by players and Blizzard.
Players reaction
Most players think that this particular addition is a great step towards making WoW Fresh Classic a better overall experience. Most of the player base thinks such a tool will fix many problems of Legacy Classic. Outside the triviality and utility of the LFG tool, players think that this problem will fix many problems with group building.
Players who are leveling are entering leveling guilds or finding other players outside the game on forums or discord channels. For raids and dungeon leaders, you won’t need to monitor your direct messages; you can just look at the player who wants to join in. Overall, this is a win-win situation for most players. Even Classic Era enjoyers who view changes to the game as ruining their experience agree that the LFG tool would be a nice addition to the game.
Conclusion
Looking back at SoD, and previous Classic experience, Blizzard has been seeking ways to improve the overall QoL of a regular player. Those things, while not anathema to Legacy Classic, will enhance the experience of chat browsing, which can be messy with players’ advertisements and group announcements.
