New Malpais Exotic is a Special Ammo Pulse Rifle released with Destiny 2 Ash and Iron. And it seems pretty strong. Let’s dive into how to get New Malpais and its Catalyst below.
New Malpais Pulse Rifle has two Exotic Traits:
- Atomizing Rounds — Rounds fired embed themselves in targets. Press R to detonate embedded rounds.
- Suspending Blast — Detonating the large number of rounds embedded in a single target suspends them.
How to get New Malpais Exotic in Destiny 2
The only way to get the New Malpais Exotic in Destiny 2 is through the Ash and Iron reward pass. The paid version unlocks the New Malpais Exotic at level 1, while the free-to-play track grants it at level 70.
New Malpais Catalyst: How to get
To get New Malpais Catalyst you have to reach level 90 of the Ash and Iron reward pass. This is the only way to get New Malpais Catalyst at this time.
New Malpais Catalyst allows explosions to unravel nearby targets.
New Malpais Super energy gain
It’s worth noting that New Malpais generates a significant amount of Super energy. A full magazine can restore around 75% of your total Super, making this Exotic even more powerful.
