What is Iron Banner
Iron Banner Destiny 2 is a free-for-all PvP event held by Lord Saladin at the Tower. It lasts for one week to offer players a chance to earn exclusive high-end loot.
Participating in IB is easy: you just need to grab and complete the Forging Iron quest, available at Lord Saladin’s. Performing well, though, is a whole different story. With power level advantage disabled, damage output and defense capacity are equalized for all players, meaning newcomers and veteran Guardians will compete in a more or less equal environment, and their PvP skill will be the only thing that makes a difference.
As of time of writing, there are three modes on rotation: good-old Control, Rift, and Eruption. Once the next Iron Banner dates are announced, we might get a mode update as well, but for now, these three are all we have.
Iron Banner schedule Edge of Fate
The Iron Banner schedule in Edge of Fate is not yet clear. Iron Banner will be available for one week, from September 16 to September 23, 2025. After that, the developers have not announced its return. We will keep you updated on this page, so be sure to bookmark it.

The Iron Banner event introduces an updated multiplier that now affects Crucible rewards instead of Rank XP.

- Maximum Value: 1.1x (requires 5 qualifying items equipped)

As your health gets lower, your weapons going increased stability and handling. Weapon final blows while your shields are depleted heal you. - 4 Pieces: Iron Conviction
When your shields become broken, you gain increased ammo generation, flinch resistance and damage resistance against nearby combatants for a short time. Final blows extend this effect.
