Kaze stats and abilities

Kaze has two interchangeable aspects: Geisha and Ninja. Each aspect changes her main attack, Super, Gadget, Star Power, and Hypercharge effects. She always starts the match in Geisha form.
Kaze switches aspects using a dedicated aspect switch button, available to all players. However, if she does not own a regular Gadget (typically between Power Level 1–6), this button instead functions as a basic switch with a 6-second cooldown and no additional effects. Once a proper Gadget is unlocked, this placeholder switch is replaced by her standard Gadgets, which still switch aspects but also provide bonus effects on activation.
Now that the basic description is complete, let’s take a closer look at Kaze’s overall design and gameplay in Brawl Stars.

Kaze Attack
Kaze has two different attacks, depending on her aspect.
Kaze’s Delivery Service – Geisha aspect
Kaze dashes forward a short distance—similar in range to Mortis or Kenji—then unleashes a circular slash around herself, dealing moderate damage. The dash itself does not inflict damage and will be interrupted if it collides with a wall or water, causing the slash to occur prematurely.
Her attack includes a unique Strike Spot mechanic: a cone-shaped area within the circle, initially positioned at the top. If an enemy is struck within this Strike Spot, they receive double damage (200%), and the Strike Spot rotates 90 degrees clockwise for the next attack. Mastering this mechanic rewards precise positioning and target awareness.
Here are the stats of her Delivery Service attack profile:
- Range: 2.67
- Reload speed: 1 second
Level | Damage | Strike spot damage |
---|---|---|
1 | 750 | 1500 |
2 | 825 | 1650 |
3 | 900 | 1800 |
4 | 975 | 1950 |

9 | 1350 | 2700 |
10 | 1425 | 2850 |
11 | 1500 | 3000 |
Silent Shuriken – Ninja aspect
In her Ninja aspect, Kaze throws two knives in quick succession in a straight line. Each knife deals more damage to nearby targets and less damage to enemies farther away, following a falloff mechanic similar to Leon’s main attack. Effective positioning is key to maximizing burst damage at close range.
And here’s Kaze Ninja aspect attack profile stats:
- Range: 6.67 tiles
- Reload speed: 1.9 seconds
- Projectiles per attack: 2
Level | Geisha Damage | Strike Spot Damage | Ninja Damage (Close) | Ninja Damage (Max) |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 750 | 1500 | 750 | 375 |

Kaze Super
Kaze has two distinct Supers, one for each aspect. Each Super serves a different combat role and complements the playstyle of its respective form.
Fan Storm – Geisha Aspect
Description: Kaze throws a fan that creates a large storm zone lasting 5 seconds. Enemies inside the storm cannot see outside, meaning they lose visibility of brawlers and projectiles beyond the area’s boundary.
Enemies who touch the outer edge of the storm take damage. If they remain in contact with the edge, the damage can apply multiple times, punishing poor positioning. Notably, enemies can still fire projectiles out of the storm, but won’t see their shots after they leave the circle.
Function: Area control, zoning, vision denial
Effective Against: Grouped enemies, sharpshooters, lane holders
Weakness: Doesn’t stop blind fire or tank rushes directly
Fist of the Brawl Star – Ninja Aspect
Description: Kaze dashes a long distance at high speed, marking all enemies she passes through. After 2.5 seconds, the marks detonate, dealing high burst damage regardless of Kaze’s location.
This Super is excellent for initiating fights, chasing down fleeing enemies, or disrupting enemy backlines. The delayed explosion can also be used to deny healing or pressure enemies into retreating prematurely.
Function: Burst damage, assassination, disruption
Effective Against: Low-HP brawlers, retreating opponents, grouped enemies
Weakness: Predictable travel path, reliant on precise aim
Kaze Gadgets

Kaze in Brawl Stars is an absolutely gadget-dependent brawler. Her Gadget enables her core mechanic—aspect switching—to really shine. Without it, she loses access to her primary utility and mobility options, making her significantly less effective in most scenarios.
Gracious Host
Activating this gadget transforms the brawler into their ninja form, increasing movement speed by 30% for 2.5 seconds. With a cooldown of only 6 seconds, it can be used frequently and serves as a versatile tool for closing gaps, disengaging from unfavorable situations, or cycling through different forms for strategic advantage.
Hensojutsu
This gadget also initiates the transformation into ninja form, but instead grants 2 seconds of invisibility. Sharing the same 6-second cooldown, it excels in repositioning, enabling ambushes, and slipping past enemy lines undetected. Both gadgets are integral to the brawler’s identity, with the optimal choice depending on whether the player prefers sustained pressure or stealth-oriented play.
Kaze Star Powers

Just like her Gadgets, Kaze has access to two Star Powers. In this case, Gratuity Included emerges as the more impactful option, offering reliable utility and consistent value across a wide range of matchups.
Advanced Techniques
- Effect: While in ninja form, the brawler’s main attacks apply a 30% slow to enemies for 2.5 seconds.
- Note: This slowing effect significantly enhances pressure during engagements, particularly against low-health targets. It synergizes well with aggressive playstyles and punishes opponents for poor positioning.
Gratuity Included
- Effect: When the brawler’s super connects with an enemy, it drains 34% of their current ammo.
- Note: This star power is highly effective for area control by limiting the enemy’s ability to retaliate or reclaim space. Ideal for players who favor a control-oriented approach to gameplay.
Kaze Hypercharge

When Hypercharge is activated, Kaze receives a 25% boost to movement speed and damage, along with a 5% shield in both aspects. Additionally, each form gains a unique enhancement to its Super ability.
Geisha Aspect – Hypercharge: Fan Storm Enhancement
- The center of the Fan Storm now deals 324 damage per second to enemies within it, up to a total of 1620 damage over 5 seconds.
- This area damage effect stacks if multiple storms overlap, significantly increasing zone pressure.
- Ideal for controlling objectives and denying healing or safe zones.
Ninja Aspect – Hypercharge: Fist of the Brawl Star Enhancement
- Kaze’s dash speed during her Super is greatly increased, making it harder to react to or dodge.
- Additionally, marked enemies take damage instantly if the mark would be lethal, allowing for quick eliminations without waiting for the delay.
- Perfect for finishing off low-health enemies or executing high-pressure engages.
How to play Kaze
To fully unlock Kaze’s potential, players must utilize both of her aspects
General Tips
- Master aspect switching. Your performance hinges on choosing the right aspect for the right moment—use Geisha for control and utility, and Ninja for aggressive burst plays and quick picks.
- Your Hypercharge boosts both forms. Use it to capitalize on area denial (Geisha) or secure kills (Ninja).
Playing Geisha aspect
- Use Kaze’s Delivery Service to pressure close-range enemies and apply chip damage. Aim to land Strike Spot hits for bonus damage and slow (with Advanced Techniques Star Power).
- Fan Storm should be thrown over objectives, choke points, or retreat paths. It blocks enemy vision outward and punishes escape with edge damage.
- Combine Fan Storm + Strike Spot to zone enemies and secure lane dominance.
- If using Gratuity Included, use Fan Storm early in fights to drain enemy ammo and weaken their push.
Playing Ninja aspect
- Silent Shuriken excels at close-to-mid range. Try to close the gap with a dash (via Hensojutsu) before attacking for max damage.
- Fist of the Brawl Star is great for engaging or picking off escaping enemies. The delayed explosion allows you to reposition before damage lands.
- With Hypercharge, use the Super to execute low-health targets instantly.
- Take advantage of Advanced Techniques for splash damage when eliminating marked enemies—perfect for clustered opponents.
Gadget Usage
- Use Gracious Host to gain mobility (Ninja) or heal mid-fight (Geisha). Ideal for sustaining pressure.
- Use Hensojutsu for stealth plays (Ninja) or repositioning (Geisha dash). Invisibility is best for flanking or clutch escapes.
- If running Gratuity Included, try to maximize Gadget uptime to benefit from the 50% longer effects.
Matchups & Mode Tips
- Strong In: Gem Grab, Hot Zone, Knockout – her control and versatility shine.
- Weak against: Long-range brawlers with poke and vision (e.g., Piper, Bea).
- Best against: Close-range brawlers who rely on vision and bunched formations.
Conclusion
Kaze is a highly versatile and mechanically demanding brawler with a steep skill curve. Her dual-form kit requires players to think on their feet, switching between Geisha for control and utility, and Ninja for burst damage and quick eliminations. While her stats currently feel a bit overtuned, balance adjustments are likely as players learn to master her playstyle.
