Brawl Stars balance changes all new buffs and nerfs
The new Brawl Stars balance changes are coming with the next update. Let’s look in-depth at who got the best buffs and the worst nerfs.
Table of Contents
Supercell revealed new Brawl Stars balance changes that will greatly affect the new meta. Those changes may bring new life for some characters while making other characters less op.
In this list you will see a lot of damage buffs and nerfs that some people consider small. It should be noted that the damage numbers always stack so even with a small buff in 100 damage in 5 hits you will deal 500 more damage. These buffs are often enough to kill an enemy with one less attack.
The nerfs and buffs will affect the meta. However, it should be tested for some time in the game before any concrete meta changes can be noticed. Keep an eye on our Brawl Stars Tier List as we will update it as soon as possible.
Brawl stars Balance changes: Buffs
Grom
Grom is getting great buffs. First, his basic attack damage is up by 8%. He now hits 2280 from 2120. With this damage buff, he also gets a supercharge rate increase. It now takes 5 attacks It now takes 5 attacks to charge his super fully. This means that he will be able to use it more often.
Tick
Tick is now able to charge his hypercharge faster. It is a significant increase in the 80% charge rate. Now he can charge it up in the same time as 2 and a half Supers. This is a great change for tick players and a big problem for anyone playing against him.
Sprout
There’s another damage increase, this time for Sprout. His basic attacks will now hit 6% harder. The damage is increased from 1960 to 2080.
Stu
Stu sees his HP increased from 5800 to 6400 almost a 10% increase. This will make Stu more tanky allowing him to survive longer against many brawlers.
Willow
Willow receives a buff to her shield when she is using mind control. The damage she receives in this state is now 50% less. This allows her to use her Super more comfortably without fearing being killed.
Bea
Bea is getting a charge shot damage buff. Her charged shots now hit 4400 instead of 4000. Her charged shots are now even more of a threat to brawlers with a small hp bar.
Spike
Another HP buff goes to spike as his HP is increased from 4800 to 5200. This will increase Spike’s survivability.
Gus
Gus sees a 12% damage increase from 2000 to 2240. This is another powerful buff that will make Gus more viable in the meta.
Mandy
Mandy’s shield damage reduction is up from 30% to 40%. This is not the best buff she could have received but for now, it is alright.
Ash
The Rotten Banana Gadget that makes Ash drain HP will be changed. It is now draining 10% of his HP instead of 25%. This will make the Gadget more viable for Ash.
Penny
Penny’s cannon gets an HP increase from 5600 to 6800 HP. This means that the cannon will be stronger than Penny herself. Brawlers with low damage outputs will have a harder time dealing with this cannon which will help Penny a little.
Tara
Both Tara’s star shadows will get an HP buff. Increasing from 3000 to 3400 and from 2400 to 3000. This makes her shadows much more of a problem to deal with.
Lola
Lola’s basic attacks are buffed. They now deal 560 per hit instead of 520. When all the shots are combined, it amounts to an additional 200 damage.
Daryll
A much-expected Daryll buf is finally here. Daryll can use his Super twice. This allows him to get into a fight and quickly escape it or chase a low-hp enemy more effectively. However, it should be noted that he can only start recharging his Super once you use it twice.
Gale
Gale’s Ultimate gets a massive damage increase. It now hits 2440 damage instead of 1640. This is one of the biggest damage buffs in this update.
Brawl stars Balance changes: Nerfs
Clancy
Clancy was considered to be op even before his release. It is safe to say that he deserves the nerfs. His Super charge rate is down. It now takes 6 shots instead of 5 It now takes 6 shots instead of 5 to charge his Super fully. This means his Super will be used less often. His Super’s damage is also decreased. It now deals 1520 damage instead of 1800.
Frank
Frank is the other OP character that needed nerfs. Now his HP is lower, decreasing from 14000 to 13400. Additionally to that HP nerf his Sponge Star Power is also nerfed to give him less HP. And finally, Frank’s Irresistible Attraction Gadget gets a 50% bonus damage decrease.
Meg
Meg in mecha form will deal 12% less damage. One hit is down from 340 to 300 damage. This will weaken Meg but not nearly enough to consider her not OP yet.
Buster
This is probably a Nerf that makes less sense than the other one. Buster has his HP reduced from 10400 to 10000. This is not significant.
Berry
Berry needed a nerf, but he only got a minor decrease in Super charge rate from healing. His Super charge rate from basic attacks is the same so the nerf is insignificant.
Amber
Amber’s Gadget — Dancing Flames now deals less damage. A decrease in damage from 2100 to 1890 is pretty significant, but not the end of the world.
Kit
A healing nerf for Kit. He will now heal himself and the brawler he attaches himself to for 30% of his HP instead of 40%.
Gale
Yes, Gale is the only brawler to receive both buffs and nerfs. However, his nerf is not so much a nerf and more of a fix. Gale had a bug where his Super could hit an enemy twice. This was not intended and so it was removed.
