The new Brawl Stars balance changes are out with the new update. Let’s look in-depth at who got the best buffs and the worst nerfs this time.

Brawl Stars balance changes all new buffs and nerfs: December

Supercell revealed new Brawl Stars balance changes that will greatly affect the new meta. Those changes may bring new life for some characters while making other characters less op.

In this list, you will see a lot of damage buffs and nerfs that some people consider small. It should be noted that the damage numbers always stack, so even with a small buff in 100 damage, in 5 hits, you will deal 500 more damage. These buffs are often enough to kill an enemy with one less attack.

The nerfs and buffs will affect the meta. However, it should be tested for some time in the game before any concrete meta changes can be noticed. Keep an eye on our Brawl Stars Tier List; we will update it as soon as possible.

Brawl stars balance changes: buffs

In this part we will discuss the buffs. Most of the time a buff will be either an increase to HP or to damage. However sometimes the buffs can be more complex and include a complete rework of the Brawler or their abilities.

El Primo

El Primo will recieve a buff to his health with a jump from 12000 to 12600 HP. This is not a huge addition to his already big HP, but this will make him more tanky.

Lou

Lou will get a massive 15% buff to his basic attack reload speed. This means that Lou will be able to do damage faster and also charge his Super quicker, making him a much better contender.

Willow

Willow gets an interesting buff. Her Super projectile’s width is getting buffed by 300%, this now makes her Super much easier to land.

Griff

Griff gets a buff to his Super’s damage, now his Super will hit 9% harder making this already strong super even stronger.

Maisie

Maisie gets her basic attack damage buffed by 7%. Now She will hit for 3000 damage instead of 2800. This is a massive buff making Maisie much more competitive with the otehr sharp shooters.

Charlie

Charlie will receive a 6% HP buff. This now means that her HP is 7000 instead of 6600. This allows Charlie to survive better in hard situations and maybe even win some duels more.

Mico

Another HP buff goes to Mico, he is now at 6600 HP instead of 6000. This, again, provides survivability, making Mico a much tougher opponent.

Nani

Nani gets a buff to her Hypercharge. This buff affects only stat increases, so now, during her Hypercharge she will hit 20% harder, and her movement speed will increase by 25%. This doesn’t make Nani’s Hypercharge much better than the other Brawlers, but if you already have it, it’s a great buff.

Brawl stars balance changes: nerfs

Similar to buffs, the nerfs usually affect the basic stats. However sometimes they can affect certain items or abilities so much that it makes them completly unusable.

Moe

Moe is getting nerfed again. His basic attack reload speed gets nerfed by 33%. This makes Moe much weaker, as the time to get his Super will increase as well. Speaking of his Super, it also gets a damage nerf, meaning he will deal a maximum of 1200 damage from his Super instead of 1600.

Kenji

Another nerf is given to Kenji. Just like Moe, Kenji gets a basic attack reload speed. He will now reload 25% slower. This will make Kenji much less annoying and will require more strategy to play him than before.

Melodie

Melodie gets her Super charge rate reduced by 25%. This will now require her to hit the enemy 5 times instead of 4. This comes to nerf her pretty strong Hypercharge that can be abused together with her Super’s mobility.

Surge

Surge is getting a simple HP nerf. Now his HP will be 6000 instead of 6600. This is actually a huge change, as now a lot of Brawlers will be able to kill him faster. Because Surge is one of the few Brawlers that need to survive to become stronger, it will be much harder for Surge mains now.

Frank

Frank gets his Power Grab Starr Power nerfed. The additional damage he gets after killing an enemy is now only 25% instead of 50%. This is a big change, but it will not make Frank less of a threat on the battlefield.

Piper

Piper gets a nerf to her Auto Aimer Gadget. The Gadget will no longer slow enemies after they have been hit. This Gadget was often used for escaping from strong enemies but now it will be less useful.

Clancy

Clancy gets a nerf to his speed increase at level 3. The speed increase will now be 70% smaller, but in reality, this is a barely noticeable change as the actual movement speed is only a few % lower.

Rico

Rico’s Multiball Launcher Gadget gets nerfed. Supercell probably watched too many Rico Gadget memes and decided to make it less OP. The damage of the Gadget will be lower by 14%, decreasing from 140 damage per hit to 120 damage per hit.

Anonymoussays:

Surge is no skill maybe mid skill or I play him the best but so I’m glad that they nerfed him he is accualy a bit broken

Anonymoussays:

hes very good,he shoulnd get a buff,a nerf to his dmg would have been way better since his dmg is already very high

Another Edgar Main who hit 1050 trophiessays:

bro Edgar is the most painful brawler to push and he’s good on half of the maps such as Flaring Phoenix but the others like Deep End uhhhh they’re really bad for him. Also he has way too many counters such as Shelly, Piper, El Primo and most of the Damage dealers, Marksmen, Tanks even Assasins. Though I personally still love playing him cause he requires absolutely no skill. And when is Edgar getting back his fast jump?
