WoW Patch 11.2.5 release date

Blizzard has not confirmed an exact release date for Patch 11.2.5, but it’s currently expected to arrive in late autumn 2025. As a minor update, this patch acts as a bridge between the Ghosts of K’aresh finale and the upcoming pre-expansion content for Midnight.
Although Patch 11.2.5 hasn’t gone live yet, players can already jump onto the PTR realms to test upcoming features and share feedback directly through the PTR Development forums.
Patch 11.2.5 overview

Unlike Patch 11.2, which was a full-scale content update, Patch 11.2.5 is a smaller, systems-focused patch. Players shouldn’t expect a new raid or zone, but instead quality-of-life improvements, event-driven gameplay, and special limited-time modes.
Here are the key highlights:
- Return of Legion Remix, letting players re-experience the Broken Isles with modern scaling.
- Introduction of Cooldown Manager, a new interface tool for group coordination.
- Recent Allies function, a tool that allows you to track your recent teammates.
- Launch of TWW Turbo Boost, a catch-up feature for alts and returning players. (Launching later during the patch 11.2.5)
Legion Remix

Legion Remix is a limited-time seasonal event that brings back Fel-themed nostalgia along with a pack of cosmetics. Players can roll a Timerunner, choose from the original 12 Legion classes, and replay the entire expansion from level 10 to 80 at an accelerated pace.
Throughout the event, you’ll gather power, tackle epic challenges, and unlock a wide range of rewards, including mounts, pets, and transmog sets.

Cooldown Manager
The Cooldown Manager isn’t new, but Patch 11.2.5 adds significant updates to how it works. Players now have more flexibility in customizing how cooldowns and buffs appear:
- Many new spec-specific spells and auras have been added, though they are disabled by default.
- Access via Edit Mode → Cooldown Manager frame → *Advanced Cooldown Settings, or from the Options Menu.
- Cooldowns can be sorted into Essential, Utility, or Hidden by Default.
- Buffs can display as either icons or bars.
- Spells and buffs can be reordered by dragging, and unlearned spells (shown in gray) can still be configured.
The Cooldown Manager initially felt redundant to many players, often compared to a stripped-down version of WeakAuras. However, Blizzard has taken community feedback on board and is now expanding its customization options in Patch 11.2.5.
While WeakAuras remains a powerful tool, some players find it overly complex, which is why Blizzard introduced their own built-in cooldown tracker as a simpler alternative without addon usage. With these new updates, it will be interesting to see whether the Cooldown Manager can evolve into a true quality-of-life feature rather than just an interface gimmick
Recent Allies
Patch 11.2.5 also adds Recent Allies, a new Social tab that lists players you’ve recently grouped with in dungeons, raids, or PvP. It makes reconnecting easier, and their chat messages are marked with a yellow person icon for quick recognition.
TWW Turbo Boost

Turbo Boost arrives with Patch 11.2. 5— not on Day 1 though — and serves as the expansion’s major catch-up system. It expands the Myth and Heroic upgrade tracks and reintroduces a Dinar-style currency to help players target specific rewards.
How it works:
- Extended Upgrade Tracks: Heroic and Mythic upgrade tracks now stretch from 6 to 8 steps, giving more room for progression. Crafted items can also be recrafted with an Augmentation Matrix for extra power.
- Cartel Rewards: Once active, Fixer So’kir and Fixer So’tho will set up shop in Dornogal, offering weapons, trinkets, and cantrip items from Season 3 dungeons and Manaforge Omega in exchange for Puzzling Cartel Chips. Up to three chips can be earned across the season.
- Ethereal Voidsplinters: Earned from Mythic+, Manaforge Omega, Delves, and rated PvP, these items power the Catalyst, enabling gear conversion into tier sets.
- Boosted Drops: Warbound until Equipped gear drop rates are greatly increased in Mythic+ and the raid, making cross-Warband gearing faster.
- Valorstones Sharing: Valorstones can now be freely transferred between characters within the same Warband, the penalty for this is yet unknown.
- Delve Trinkets: Zah’ran will sell ilvl 694 trinkets from Delves, giving players another reliable gearing path.
Turbo Boost seems to be an ever returning event, so be sure to check our Turbo Boost event overview for more details.
And that wraps up our article! Before Legion Remix arrives, we suggest finishing up your TWW content with WoW boost, so you can jump straight into the fun of Remix and focus on Bronze collecting.
