In this guide, we’ll break down the essentials and share tips to keep your hunts smooth without giving away the surprises you’ll encounter along the way.
How does Prey progression work

You can either check current Prey journey progress from your Adventure Journal (Shift + J), or you can Check your Prey progression in the Prey Hub in Silvermoon [56, 64]. Because of Blizzard’s timegating, Prey Nightmare mode won’t be accessible until March 17.
Only your first four Hunts of the week will award 1000 Preyseeker’s Journey each, so the Prey unlock schedule is as follows:
- February 26 (Epid edition release): Normal Difficulty Hunts
- March 3: Hard Difficulty Hunts
- March 17: Nightmare Difficulty Hunts
To advance each rank in Prey, always check that Astalor Bloodsworn’s [He is always located in his hub in Silvermoon] quests are available before attempting them.
Fastest way to complete Prey activity

The fastest way to complete Prey in Midnight is to complete World Quests in the same zone while actively hunting for beartraps. Accepting a Prey activity will always spawn a World Quest on your map that contributes to your Prey progress. Both disarming traps and countering ambushes drop Remnants of Anguish, which count toward your progress.
Traps tend to spawn near each other, so patroling Prey World Quest zone makes them easy to find. If you still haven’t finished your Prey, you can complete it by defeating Rares and tracking them with HandyNotes addons.
Note
Starting from hard difficulty and onwards dying will penalize you, so be sure to not pull too much mobs to be prepared for an ambush.
And that wraps up our article! If you wish to speedrun through Prey activity, you can always count on WoW boosting to help you in need.
