Legion Remix gear iLv upgrade

The gear in Legion Remix has a fixed item level; you cannot upgrade it like in MoP Remix or TWW. To improve gear, you must get a piece with higher iLv from many sources available.
The maximum item level for the Legion Remix event is 740. After you reach level 80, epic gear drops will scale their item level with the average item level of your gear (gear in bags included). The epic gear that drop will be 5–6 iLv higher than your average item level.
Below are the guidelines for a quick answer on what to do in Legion Remix to raise your item level.
- Get your character to level 80.
- Raise your item level to 597. This is the iLv cap for Normal, Heroic dungeon, and green Cache of Infinite Treasure‘s gear. You can reach that iLv by doing dungeons and opening chests you get for quest rewards.
- Do not use Motes of a Broken Time until you get iLv 597. These drop, after you reach level 80, from rare enemies, dungeons, raid bosses, and scraping unwanted gear with Unraveling Sands, but their primary source is Caches of Infinite Treasure.
- Do your daily Infinite Research quests, open Caches of Infinite Power after you reach iLv 597.
- Use Motes of a Broken Time after you reach iLv 597. 10 Motes turn into a piece of epic gear.
- Do World quests to get emissary rewards and daily random Normal/ Heroic dungeons for epic Caches of Infinite Power.
- Do your daily LFR/ Normal/ Heroic/ Mythic raids. If your iLv is too low, do at least LFR and Normal.
- Finish your Class Order Hall campaign and do quests in leveling zones for green Caches of Infinite Treasure. They are the primary source of Motes of a Broken Time.
- Get a daily free accessory from Lidamorrutu (Make Haste, Not Waste quest) in Infinite Bazaar.
Note
Trinkets, rings, and necklaces do not have stats on them. Instead, they have Artifact talents. Defensive talents are not as valuable as offensive ones. Since the average item level for drops considers the iLv of gear in your bags, you can keep using offensive jewelry of lower iLv if you have the highest item level accessories in your bags.
As for the Bronze, in Legion Remix it is used to buy cosmetics only. So you get both cosmetics and a powerful character. Gearing your character allows you to run endgame content faster and easier, farming Bronze for all the rewards. Instead of relying on stronger carries in their groups, each player can become a carry. Making your character so strong that you can farm things like Mythic raids and high-level M+ keys solo is possible.
You can learn more about Bronze in the guide below.

Afrifact Weapon Legion Remix

Artifact Weapons returned in Legion Remix, although with changes in their talents. In this game mode, you can upgrade your Artifact infinitely using Infinite Power, turning it into the primary source of your character’s powers.
From a gearing perspective, you don’t have to worry about your weapon and off-hand. Your Artifact Weapon will scale as you upgrade it.
There are many details and nuances when it comes to Artifact Weapons. You can learn more about them in the article below.
How to get gear Legion Remix

When it comes to the rest of the gear, you can get it anywhere. Every activity you do can reward you with gear, starting from random trash mobs in the World, ending with Mythic raids and M+ keys.
As was mentioned earlier, you cannot upgrade your gear in Legion Remix. Gear has fixed item level. While you are leveling, iLv is determined by your current level. At the level cap of 80, the iLv is determined by the type of content completed. The maximum possible item level is 740.
Epic items at level cap, however, have a unique feature. Their item level depends on average item level. Every new Epic gear piece will be 5–6 iLv higher than your average item level. This makes Epic gear highly effective at upgrading your character. For calculating average item level, game considers item that are stored in your bags and not currently quepied.
There are several primary sources of Epic gear in Legion Remix:
- Cache of Infinite Power. These are rewarded for completing Infinite Research daily. Can be taken from Eternus in Infinite Bazaar. You can do those every day, or save up to 6 and do them all at once.
- Raids. This is simple: any Epic item dropped by a Legion raid boss has this scaling.
- Motes of a Broken Time. Collecting 10 motes allows you to combine them into a random piece of Epic raid gear. Motes drop from various content:
- 1–2 from various reward caches (like Cache of Infinte Power) awarded for doing regular and World quests.
- 1 can drop from Empowered mobs in the Heroic World tier.
- Up to 2 can drop from Rare mobs in the Heroic World tier.
- 1 can drop from Normal dungeon boss, up to 2 can drop from Heroic dungeon boss, while Mythic dungeon boss guarantees 2 motes to drop.
- 1–2 for completing a M+ dungeon.
- 2 for every Normal raid boss, 3 for Heroic, and 4 for Mythic.
- 1 can drop from scrapping unwanted gear with Unraveling Sands.
Trinkets, rings, and necklaces are also awarded in such a manner, but they are different from their counterparts in TWW. Instead of granting stats, they grant you Artifact Weapon talents. To ease the hunt for necessary talents, a daily quest unlocks at level 80. Given by Lidamorrutu in Infinite Bazaar, it is called Make Haste, Not Waste. It rewards you with a random piece of jewelry of your highest item level.
You can learn more about Infinite Bazaar in the article below.
As for Mythic+ drops, with a hotfix, Blizzard changed how M+ drops work. Players can no longer abuse this system. Previously, M+ guaranteed a loot drop for every run participant after the clear. The item level of gear drops was based on the key level of the run. Players used this to run high-level keys with carry friends, getting high iLv gear quickly. That was changed, and M+ no longer grants gear.
As you can see, you can get all the gear you need by just playing the game. All endgame content provides plenty of gear, allowing you to quickly reach the highest item level.
Legion Remix gear stats, talents, and more

Now that we know how to get the gear, you need to know a few specifics about gear in Legion Remix.
First, gear doesn’t have a numerical stat increase like it usually does in TWW. Instead, gear adds a percentage. One of the secondary stats is always present on a specific type of gear, while the other is random.
- Mastery. Always present on helmets, shoulders, and cloaks.
- Critical Strike. Always present on chests, gloves, and bracelets.
- Haste. Always present on boots, legs, and belts.
- Versatility. Never appears on your gear and can only be obtained by upgrading your Artifact Weapon.
Epic gear is also guaranteed to have one of the following stats: Leech, Speed, or Avoidance.
Trinkets, rings, and necklaces don’t have any secondary stats on them. Instead, they have Artifact Weapon’s talents. Each piece can have one random talent. You are not required to have this talent active in your Artifact to make one from jewelry work.
Gear rarity affects the number of ranks a talent has. Uncommon grants 1 rank, Rare — 2, and Epic — 3.
To prevent you from stacking the same talent on all your jewelry, each type has a limited pool of talents that can appear.
- Necklace: Brewing Storm, Highmountain Fortitude, Light’s Vengeance, Soul of the Claw, Storm Surger, Temporal Retaliation, Touch of Malice, Volatile Magics.
- Trinket: Arcane Aegis, Arcane Ward, I Am My Scars!, Light’s Vengeance, Soul of the Claw, Storm Surger, Terror from Below, Touch of Malice.
- Ring: Arcane Aegis, Arcane Ward, Brewing Storm, Highmountain Fortitude, I Am My Scars!, Temporal Retaliation, Terror from Below, Volatile Magics.
