What is Infinite Research in Legion Remix?

Infinite Research is the daily quest system introduced in Legion Remix. It gives players the means to speed up character progression during the event. By doing these daily quests, players will receive experience buffs, new gear, and Bronze.
These quests are available right from the start of your Legion Remix journey. As soon as you finish the introductory scenario in Dalaran, you will get access to the Infinite Bazaar. This place serves as an event hub for the Legion Remix.
You can reach Infinite Bazaar in several ways, listed below:
- Through the portal at Krasus’ Landing, Dalaran [72.20; 41.08].
- Through the portal at The Eventide, Dalaran [47.31; 70.38].
- By using Nostwin’s Vouchers found during your adventures in Legion Remix.
- By making a home point at Infinite Bazaar and using your Timerunner’s Hearthstone.
You can learn more about Infinite Bazaar in the article below.
Here at the Infinite Bazaar, you can find Eternus [45.69; 68.53], a big Infinite Dragonflight; you can’t miss her. She will give you various quests over the course of your event journey, but most importantly, your daily Infinite Research quests.
How does Legion Remix Infinite Research work?

Each day, you can get a new set of quests from Eternus at the Infinite Bazaar. You can take up to 4 quests at a time. Each time you complete one, another takes its place and can be accepted from Eternus.
From the start, you can only take a total of 6 quests per day. But as you do more of these, you will get Tenured in Timeways achievements that increase the number of available daily quests to 12 and 18 quests.
- Tenured in the Timeways I. Complete 5 Infinite Research quests and speak to Eternus to get a promotion. Raises the maximum daily limit of Infinite Research quests to 12.
- Tenured in the Timeways II. Complete 20 Infinite Research quests and speak to Eternus to get a promotion. Raises the maximum daily limit of Infinite Research quests to 18.
- Tenured in the Timeways III. Complete 50 Infinite Research quests and speak to Eternus to get a promotion. Increases the amount of Bronze you get for completing Infinite Research quests.
- Tenured in the Timeways IV. Complete 150 Infinite Research quests and speak to Eternus to get a promotion. Grants Chronoscholar title, while completing Infinite Research quests will grant Stacks of Chronoqueries.
The quests are not Warband locked, meaning each of your characters can do all the quests and get the rewards.
When taking a quest from Eternus, you are greeted with a screen with 4 quests out of the total pool. These quests have various conditions that fit any playstyle. Possible quest objectives include:
- Self Improvement. A complex daily quest with several conditions. Requires defeating a set number of enemies, completing some quests, and defeating several dungeon bosses. As with many other Infinite Research dailies, it has an Advanced version. The difference is that all the conditions must be completed in Heroic World Tier or Heroic or higher dungeon difficulty.
- Combat Studies. Dailies require you to defeat a certain number of enemies. These may include any enemies, demons, Rares, Elites, enemies empowered by Heroic World Tier affixes, or Rare Elites. It can be done in both dungeons and the open world, and there is an Advanced version for the Heroic World Tier.
- Combat Studies, X-runner. Requires you to defeat a specific number of enemies while using a particular Artifact Weapon talent path. These include Nature, Fel, Arcane, Storm, and Light.
- Raid. Requires you to defeat several bosses in one of the Legion Remix raids on a specific difficulty. These include Emerald Nightmare, Nighthold, Tomb of Sargeras, and Antorus, the Burning Throne.
- Time to Raid. Another raid-related daily requires you to complete a specific wing of a raid. It can be done on any difficulty, but an easier way is to use LFR, since it splits the bosses into wings.
- Dungeon. Requires you to clear a dungeon on a specific difficulty. Can be completed at a difficulty higher than requested.
- Dungeoneers Wanted. Another dungeon-related quest requires completing any dungeons, but on a fixed difficulty.
- Gather Timewarped Samples. Require you to gather 10 herbs and ores, scattered all over Broken Isles. Use the Elixir of Remembered Sight that can be bought from Nostwin in the Infinite Bazaar [45.95; 67.88] to see gathering spots.
- Worldly Deeds. Requires you to complete 3 World Quests. Have an Advanced version that requires doing World Quests on Heroic World Tier. To get access to World Quest, you have to speak with Khadgar in The Violet Hold, Dalaran [28.46; 48.40] and complete Uniting the Isles.
- Greater Invasion Points. Requires you to complete an Invasion Point on Argus. As with many quests, there is an Advanced version that requires you to complete the objective in the Heroic World Tier.
- No Task Too Small. Requires completing any 6 quests in Broken Isles. World Quests also count. Has an Advanced version, Hero of the Broken Isles, that requires completing 5 quests in Heroic World Tier.
- Artifact Collector. A daily that requires you to pursue another Artifact Weapon quest in your Class Hall. Appears only if you have uncollected Artifacts.
- Champion of the Broken Isles/ Order Hall. These dailies require completing a chapter of the Campaign. For Broken Isles, any storyline in the zone that grants an achievement for completion is sufficient. For Class Hall, it means doing instant quests there until you get one that requires you to go somewhere and do something. Completing such a quest counts as finishing a Class Hall chapter.
- Terrors of the Broken Isles. Requires defeating a World Boss. Has a version for Heroic World Tier.
As you can see, there are many possible quests to suit your preferences. You can speak to Eternus at any time to tell her your preferences. Possible options are:
- I prefer outdoor assignments.
- I prefer questing assignments.
- I prefer dungeon assignments.
- I prefer raid assignments.
- I want harder research assignments.
For most of these, the line speaks for itself about what kind of assignments you will get. Harder research assignments mean ones that require you to be in the Heroic World tier to complete them. This selection will affect the next wave of your daily quests.
Speaking of which, if for some reason you dislike the quests you received, you can ask Eternus to refresh them. By default, you have one refresh attempt that recovers every time you complete a single Infinite Research quest. If you refresh your quest selection that way, you have to complete at least one quest from the new ones to be able to refresh again.
When you complete a total of 150 Infinite Research quests and earn Tenured in the Timeways IV achievement, completing an Infinite Research quest will grant you a Stack of Chronoqueries. These can also be used to refresh your quests. You can store up to 3 of these.
Last but not least are one-time Special Assignments from Eternus. Those are taken directly from her and can only be completed once per character.
- A World to Explore. Complete 10 World Quests. To get access to World Quest, you have to speak with Khadgar in The Violet Hold, Dalaran [28.46; 48.40] and complete Uniting the Isles.
- Power Overwhelming. Gather Epoch Mementos. These drop from enemies and appear in reward caches. There is no exact number, as every Memento provides a different value to the quest progress bar.
- Fel Skies. Defeat 50 Lost Legion demons by flying through them. This can be found in the skies all around Broken Isles. If you’re having trouble, try checking out Stormheim [57.96; 74.52].
- Here to Slay. Requires you to defeat 250 enemies. All the enemies, including those in raids and dungeons, count toward that quest.
- Rare Dare. Defeat 15 Rare enemies. There are many rare enemies in every region that are easy to find on your mini map. Some of the Rare enemies, like Warbringer Mox’na in Azsuna [47.72; 53.32], have adds that are also considered Rare and count towards quest completion.
- Sampling the World. A complex assignment that requires gathering 10 herbs and ores around the Isles, and catching 25 Residual Time Motes (golden orbs of energy) while flying. To see herbs and ores, use the Elixir of Remembered Sight, which can be bought from Nostwin in the Infinite Bazaar.
- Boss Rush. Defeat 10 bosses in dungeons, raids, or World bosses.
Legion Remix Infinite Research rewards

Now that we’ve figured out what these dailies are, we can talk about Legion Remix Infinite Research rewards. Infinite Research exists to speed up your progression in this game mode, and thus, every quest has corresponding rewards. Each daily Infinite Research quests grants you:
Resonant Epoch Memento. Infinite Research is the only source of these little baubles. Each one of them grants you a permanent 1% increase in received experience. Considering you can eventually do up to 18 quests per day, you can get a 18% buff daily. And if you add your alts to the mixture, you can get more than 100% increase in a few days. The bonus cap is 400%, and Infinite Research is the fastest way to reach it.
Cache of Infinite Power. A superior version of quest rewards caches that are given out in Legion Remix. These contain:
- A piece of Epic gear. At the level cap, these scale with your average item level, so it is advised to save these until level 80.
- Random Legion Remix consumables, which grant class-specific buffs, or other useful stuff, like Nostwin’s Voucher.
- A chance to get Artifactium Sand, which increases the item level of your Artifact Weapon.
- Champion’s Insignia, which grants a 2000 reputation boost with the corresponding faction.
Experience. Like any other quest, completing Infinite Research grants XP to raise your character level. If you want to get even more experience, keep an eye out for Self Improvement quests. These dailies grant bonus experience on top of the usual amount.
Bronze. The main currency for buying all the various cosmetics from the Legion Remix. Depending on the quest completed, you get 1000–1300 Bronze per daily. With Tenured in the Timeways III completed, the upper limit of the reward increases to 1500. Although it is not the most efficient way to farm Bronze, it is a nice bonus. You can learn more about Legion Remix rewards and Bronze down below.
Gold. Although not as crucial in Legion Remix, gold is still used to buy some items. Mainly, reputation rewards from the corresponding faction vendors. These quests give just enough to buy all the things.
As for one-time Special Assignments, those have their own rewards.
- Cache from Infinite’s Armory. These contain various pieces of Epic gear that scale with your average item level.
- Lesser Bronze Cache. Using this item grants you 4000 Bronze.
There is another reward that requires you to interact with Infinite Research quests. To receive a newly added Sargerei’s Commander Felscorned Regalia transmog set, you must complete a Legion Remix campaign (do not confuse it with the Legion story campaign). This is a chain of 3 quests that requires you to do several things for Eternus.
- Embrace Your Own Legend. Available at level 40. Complete 2 Infinite Research dailies.
- Surpass Your Own Legend. Available at level 80. Complete 5 Infinite Research dailies.
- Shape a New Legend. Available after completing previous quests. Complete 20 Infinite Research dailies and amass around 100k Infinite Power to fill the progress bar.
Please note that these quests are not retroactive. This means only dailies done and Infinite Power gained after accepting the quest count toward completion.
And this is it for our Infinite Research guide! We hope it helped you learn more about this system and what you can get from it. And if you need more help with Legion Remix content, our Legion Remix carry is always ready!
