A Flash in the Void achievement guide

Nightfall Sanctum has a Flickergate located very close to the entrance. The cannon mission inside the delve allows instant traversal to the gate. Tier 1 delves have minimal enemies and near-instant resets. The only requirement for Flickergate to appear is that this Delve has to be Bountiful.

Step 1 – Set Delve Difficulty: Open the Delve menu and set the difficulty to Tier 1. This speeds up the process significantly.
Step 2 – Enter Nightfall Sanctum: Queue or zone directly into the Nightfall Sanctum Delve.
Step 3 – Locate the Flickergate: Upon entering, run straight forward toward the ledge. The Flickergate spawns in a consistent location and is visible immediately.
Step 4 – Use the cannon: Activate the cannon mission. Launch yourself directly toward the Flickergate and interact with it.
Step 5 – Exit the Delve: After clicking the Flickergate, leave the delve immediately. You do not need to complete any objectives.
Step 6 – Repeat: Re-enter the delve and repeat the process. No lockout or cooldown applies.

The Flash in the Void achievement is simple in concept but extremely tedious in practice. To complete it, you only need to open 100 Flickergates, finishing the Flickergate event itself is not required. The reward for completing the achievement is the “Flickering” title.

This achievement is not part of any meta-achievement, so it only matters if you want the title or completion credit. It is also exclusive to Season 3, meaning that once the season ends on January 20, Flickergates will stop spawning entirely, making the achievement unobtainable afterward.
