The current Race for World First WoW raid is Voidspire and is yet to start. It will be the first raid of Midnight expansion and serves as the final end-game content of the Season. Voidspire will be available from March 17 on Normal, Heroic and Mythic difficulty will unlock on March 24. The next relevant raid will be March on Quel’Danas.

How long does the Race to World First last?

No one knows for sure, but it will likely take about a 10-14 days for the first team to complete the Manaforge Omega raid on Mythic difficulty. Teams will spend countless hours gearing up through Splits, then face each boss hundreds of times while refining strategies and optimizing their party compositions in RWF TWW.

What are “splits” in Race to Worlds First?

“Splits” are organized runs where guilds use multiple raid groups to farm gear from lower difficulties for RtWF WoW. The goal is to give the best gear to core raiders, maximizing their power for progression in the main raid. This strategy helps give top guilds an edge in the competition. Splits often require immense resources and contributions from numerous players. Top guilds even have dedicated assistants to help with these splits. Handling the exchange of valuable items, gear, and pooling resources, the assistants’ efforts can be worth millions in gold. That was why, following the Amirdrassil RWF, guilds like Echo, Liquid, and Method offered boosting services for Amirdrassil completion in exchange for gold, allowing them to repay the invaluable assistance they received during the race.

Is Voidspire raid hard?

With the start of Midnight Season 1, Voidspire currently stands as the most challenging raid available in World of Warcraft. As the first raid of the expansion, many players are still in the early stages of gearing, meaning the highest item level rewards needed for smoother progression are not yet widely accessible. Because of this early-season gear gap, Voidspire has proven to be a demanding raid overall, with the final boss acting as the primary progression wall for most guilds. Until the release of March on Quel’Danas, Voidspire remains the pinnacle PvE challenge of the season.

When is the next Race to World First WoW?

The next Race to World First takes place during Midnight Season 1, starting on March 24, 2026, when Mythic raids unlock. By this point, all regional release timings, weekly resets, and raid unlock schedules are fully established. Top guilds will follow the standard RWF format, including early Heroic gearing, split runs, and nonstop Mythic progression until the final boss is defeated on Mythic difficulty and the world-first kill is confirmed.
