How to enter Secret Rooms in Delves

To unlock access to these secret rooms, players must first upgrade their Reshii Wraps by progressing through the talent tree and obtaining the talent Secrets of the Depths.
Once you’ve unlocked this talent, there is a chance that Ethereal Portals will appear in the Delves as you explore. These portals can be entered while wearing the Reshii Wraps, leading you to a special area known as the Ethereal Routing Station.
What is the Ethereal Routing Station

The Ethereal Routing Station is a smaller version of a Delve, offering a single, specific objective to complete. Once you complete this objective, a treasure room is unlocked, as though you’ve finished an entire Delve. The beauty of this feature lies in its speed: it offers a much faster route to Delve completion, making it an invaluable tool for those looking to efficiently gather loot and complete Delves.
It is still unknown whether Overcharged Delves affixes will be present in these rooms, but since these affixes affect Delves and the Ethereal Routing Station counts as part of the initial Delve, it’s highly likely they will be included.
Bountiful Delve Rewards from the Ethereal Routing Station
Treasure obtained from the Ethereal Routing Station matches the type of Delve you originally entered. If you enter from a Bountiful Delve, the treasure room will contain a Bountiful Chest as expected. Completing the Ethereal Routing Station counts as a full Bountiful Delve completion, which means the original Delve you entered is no longer considered Bountiful for the rest of the day.
Completing this small objective will:
- Grant you a reward that matches the Delve tier.
- Count towards The Great Vault progress.
- Be quicker than a standard Delve run.
- Serve as an efficient way to farm for weekly Crests, Valorstones, and other currencies.

Note
With the introduction of the Bountiful Delve Portal room in Patch 11.2, farming Delves for currencies will become even more convenient. Be sure to check out our Delves Tier List to find out which Delves will offer the fastest method for acquiring resources.
Ethereal Routing Station objectives
As of PTR testing of Patch 11.2, there are five different variants of the Ethereal Routing Station, each offering a unique challenge. Here’s a look at the different variants players can encounter:
- Dodge Ball: Navigate through a maze and defeat a boss at the end.
- Mixed Spawns: Defeat escaped specimens that have been wreaking havoc.
- Invader Duo: Face off against Zekvir and the Underpin.
- Boss Rush: Defeat three random Delve bosses in a row.
- Hard Ethereals: Overcome groups of Shadowguard Ethereals, a challenging encounter.
Note
While the difficulty of these objectives remains uncertain, it’s unlikely that they will be overly challenging, as Blizzard must ensure they are balanced across all Delve tiers.
However, it’s very likely that some of these objectives will take longer to complete than a standard Delve run during a normal playthrough.
That wraps up our article! Want to make the most of Season 2 activities while they’re still relevant? Check out our WoW carry to quickly complete them and get what you need.
Bonus question: Will you still be running Delves once this change is live, or will you skip them to focus more on other objectives for better time efficiency in the game?
