Set to launch on September 26, 2024, SoD Phase 5 introduces a variety of new features. Players can expect Tier 2 armor sets, the Blackwing Lair and Zul’Gurub raid dungeons, updated methods for acquiring old Runes, and some secret class-specific items. And, of course, the brand-new raid for SoD, Crystal Vale.
What players can expect from SoD Phase 5 raid Crystal Vale
The SoD Phase 5 raid, Crystal Vale, reintroduces the iconic elemental Prince Thunderaan. This raid will accommodate parties of 20-40 players. Adding to the excitement, Blizzard has confirmed that players can earn the legendary Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker from the Crystal Vale raid loot pool.
Other than Thunderfury, players can also anticipate new class-specific items. For example, the Stormwrath, Sanctified Shortblade of the Galefinder and the Drape of the Windlord. The best part? These coveted items are available to all players, regardless of their progress in the original Thunderfury questline.
Other SoD Phase 5 exciting news
Along with the Crystal Vale raid, Phase 5 will also feature new ways to obtain Runes from earlier phases. Players can purchase bind-on-account tokens from Pix Xizzix in Booty Bay for shared discoveries. Then, they can redeem these runes at a special Rune Broker in Stormwind or Orgrimmar.
Although Blizzard has teased new class-specific item discoveries, details are still under wraps. For PvP enthusiasts, Phase 5 offers increased Honor rewards, higher PvP ranks beyond rank 10, and more Marks of Honor from battleground losses. Also, a new boss in Demon Fall Canyon awaits players ready to test their mettle.
