As expected, The First Descendant will have another update in late August with many new features and a new Descendant, Hailey. Let’s take a look at Hailey and the new features expected for Season 1.
The First Descendant Season 1 Overview
Nexon has already announced that Season 1 is coming soon. Now they are showing us a teaser of the story and the new Descendant Hailey.
The First Descendant Season 1 new features
We know a lot about what to expect from season one from the Nexon plans for the game.
The teaser gave us a quick look at the upcoming story. We also, of course, saw the new descendant Hailey. Players can also look forward to the introduction of a new colossus and a dungeon. Additionally, a new weapon, likely a sniper rifle, is expected. Of course new skins, and most importantly the new ultimate descendant is coming too. It appears to be Ultimate Freyna.
But that’s not all that’s coming in Season 1. The community is dissatisfied with how grindy the game is and the amount of RNG involved. This is why the developers are working on ways to fix those problems at least partially, by nerfing bosses, increasing drop rates, and implementing many more quality-of-life updates.
The release of Season 1 will certainly bring a long list of bug fixes and optimizations. With all this in mind, the game’s future looks more promising.
New Descendant Hailey
The leaks were accurate, as Hailey is the ice-cold sniper Descendant coming to the game next. It isn’t Dominique or Captain Harris, as some people guessed. However, the image we got in Hailey’s teaser differs from what we see in the Season 1 teaser. There was no large winter hood. You can read about it more in our article about Hailey’s teaser.
However, there is some concern about Hailey as elemental descendants are not currently in the meta. This may change when she arrives, as many games have had their meta altered by a new OP character. Will Hailey be op? We don’t know yet, but there’s a possibility.
The first Descendant Season 1 and new descendant Hailey release date
Nexon has revealed the release date for season 1 to be August 29. Hailey is presumably coming out on the same date. However, remember that you will need to grind for her, and likely for new content, so make sure to gear up as much as possible.
