Nexon announces compensations for The First Descendant players
After facing backlash from various issues, especially concerning monetization, Nexon has announced some compensations for The First Descendant players.

Korean game developer Nexon recently launched its highly anticipated looter shooter game, The First Descendant. Despite a successful launch, the game has faced significant criticism due to various burning issues. Technical glitches, shallow gameplay elements, and controversial monetization practices have been particularly scrutinized by players and critics alike.
In response to the rocky start, Nexon issued a public apology via its official Twitter account. The developer acknowledged the disruptions and inconvenience caused and promised improvements. As a gesture of goodwill, Nexon also announced compensation plans for affected players:
How to claim compensations for The First Descendant
You have until July 7 to claim the following:
- Gold Gain Boost +30% (Duration 3 days)
- Kyper Shard Gain Boost +30% (Duration 3 days)
- Descendant EXP Gain Boost +30% (Duration 3 days)
- Weapon Mastery EXP Gain Boost +30% (Duration 3 days)
- 2x Matte Red Paints
And here’s how you can claim Nexon’s compensations for The First Descendant:
- Log into your game account
- Navigate to the mailbox in the Albion home base
- Open the mailbox and retrieve your compensation. The rewards will auto-activate upon claiming, so you cannot save them for later use
It’s important to note that if you log in but don’t claim the rewards, they will expire in twelve days.
