Elden Ring SoTE: A goldfish beat Promised Consort Radahn
Nope, you’re not reading it wrong. A goldfish beat Promised Consort Radahn—a feat many Tarnished still struggle to achieve.
Ever felt like you’re not even on the same level as a goldfish? If not, PointCrow’s goldfish, Tortellini, is here to humble you. This remarkable fish has actually defeated Promised Consort Radahn, the final boss of the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. How it did it? By swimming for eight hours.
Content creator PointCrow has created a unique setup that allows Tortellini, the goldfish, to control the Tarnished by swimming in its tank. According to PointCrow:
“Depending on where Tortellini is in the tank, he’ll press a button on a controller which will control Elden Ring.”
— PointCrow
As you can see in his stream, the fish tank is divided into grids, each representing a controller button, such as ZL, ZR, L, R, and any other necessary for beating the game.

PointCrow and his viewers watched with bated breath as Tortellini the goldfish battled Promised Consort Radahn. Sometimes Tortellini used an excessive amount of Flasks, but we guess it’s an aquatic form of “panic rolling” coming from the goldfish. In the end, the fish still managed to defeat the DLC’s final boss despite being slapped left and right by Radahn just like the rest of us Tarnished:
Just like any other Soulslike, Elden Ring bosses are notoriously difficult to deal with. And yet, Promised Consort Radahn wasn’t the first boss to experience a fishy defeat. Tortellini the goldfish also succeeded in bringing Malenia to her second phase, though not without numerous attempts and significant effort.
