Diablo 4 OP Spiritborn build: A never-ending scaling nightmare

1 min read 0 2

After the release of Vessel of Hatred and the new Spiritborn class, players have been tinkering with the most OP build, and it seems they found it. The latest Diablo 4 OP Spiritborn build appears to be a never-ending scaling nightmare.

Spiritborn is a new Diablo franchise class introduced in the recent Vessel of Hatred expansion. Of course, after the release, many players decided to check out this new class. Some players went as far as crafting their builds for maximum efficiency, and to say they were impressed with DMG output from those builds is to say nothing.

Right now, Spiriborn is the best class in Diablo 4. With its Quill Volley build, you can destroy everything you pass. And it is relevant even for usual builds. But when you pick the right gear, aspect, or paragon, you can become an unstoppable force. Even more impressive is that players keep finding even better setups for Quill Volley. While build damage was billions in the first week, now it’s trillions and seems to go even beyond. Most of these problems arise from bugged interactions, like with Spiritborn’s Evade cast animations, which you could break, giving you infinite invincibility frames.

Many people have expressed concern about this build, saying it is too much. There are many people who consider this build ok for D4. Others think that if you made this build and have fun with it, then it’s perfectly fine. However, players have also stated that D4 is an ARPG and has multiplayer aspects. Players think that this disparity between classes may affect balance. Some are sad that while not playing as a Spiritborn, they will always fall behind their friends who play said class.

It is even more concerning, considering that Blizzard initially considered a less-numbers philosophy when developing D4, based on Diablo 3 problems. We hope Blizzard will do something with this build, not in the sense that they make it bottom-tier, but just tweak its endless scaling or at least make other builds more viable.
