Diablo IV Is Now Deemed Worse than Diablo Immortal

Diablo IV’s honeymoon phase has long been over. The title has been grappling with many issues and controversies. However, it wasn’t until now that fans deemed the latest addition to the franchise to be worse than Diablo Immortal.

Diablo IV experienced a remarkable launch phase. It shattered records left and right and was the center of attention in the gaming industry. Yet, the game has gradually lost its heat, going so far that its recent live event in Korea hardly had anyone attend.

This drop in enthusiasm is all attributed to disappointing patches that fell short of players’ expectations. Moreover, the lack of endgame content and unrewarding loot, particularly in comparison to its predecessors, also stand as a major drawback. 

On Reddit, people agree that even Blizzard’s mobile game, Diablo Immortal, outperforms the franchise’s latest addition. Players have drawn parallels between Immortal’s endgame features and Diablo IV. The former boasts a Dungeon Finder, Castle Defence, and Raid content. Meanwhile, Diablo IV is limited to Nightmare Dungeons and Uber Lilith for its primary endgame content.

Some are still hopeful about Diablo IV’s potential for improvement. Meanwhile, others have moved on to invest their time in titles like Baldur’s Gate 3. Yet, the whole community still hopes that the arrival of Season of Blood will right all the wrongs. Thus, it will generate enough interest to keep them in the foreboding world of Sanctuary. 

The wait won’t be too long. After all, Adam Fletcher revealed that the date for the Developer Update Livestream of Diablo IV will be announced this week. So, we will have to wait and see what destiny has in store for this demon-infested world.
