Activision has revealed important information ahead of the global release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on October 25, 2024, including preload times, launch schedules, PC system requirements, and a reduced storage footprint compared to past titles.
Black Ops 6 preload dates and times
For those who have pre-ordered digitally on PC, preloading begins on October 21 at 12 PM (EST). This allows players to download the game in advance, including Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes, so they can jump in as soon as it launches.
On the Microsoft Store (PC), the game launches between 7 AM and 2 AM (EST) on October 24, depending on your region. PlayStation and Xbox players will have access at midnight local time, while Steam and Battle.net users can start playing at 12 AM (EST) on October 24.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on Game Pass starting October 25, marking the first time a Call of Duty game has launched. It will be available on console, PC, and via cloud with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone will also be available on Game Pass via the cloud starting the same day.
PC system requirements for Black Ops 6
The minimum system requirements for Black Ops 6 include Windows 10 64-bit as the operating system, an AMD Ryzen 5 1400, or Intel Core i5-6600 processor with at least 8 GB of RAM. For graphics, you’ll need a GPU like AMD Radeon RX 470, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, or Intel Arc A580, equipped with 2 GB of video memory.
The recommended specs require Windows 10 or 11 64-bit. The processor requirements are higher, with an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or Intel Core i7-6700K and 12 GB of RAM. The recommended graphics card is an AMD Radeon RX 6600XT or NVIDIA GTX 1080Ti / RTX 3060, each with 8 GB of video memory.
For players aiming for competitive or 4K ultra settings, the game recommends Windows 10 or 11 64-bit as the OS, along with a processor like AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or Intel Core i7-8700K, supported by 16 GB of RAM. The graphics performance should be powered by an AMD Radeon RX 6800XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 / RTX 4070, requiring 10 GB of video memory.
Black Ops 6 storage space
The 102 GB storage requirement for Black Ops 6 is notably smaller than that for previous installments. This is mainly because Warzone is a separate download for PC users, reducing the overall game size.
