Jellyfishing is a 3v3 mode where players must collect 20 Jellyfish as fast as possible. Jellyfish spawn in the center of the map while the players come from the sides. To catch a Jellyfish, you need to pick it up and hold it for 5 seconds. If a player dies while holding Jellyfish they will drop all of the Jellyfish.

Experienced players may recognize that this mode is quite similar to standard game modes, such as Gem Grab. This is indeed true, but it should be noted that Jellyfishing has its own specific rules and meta.
Brawl Stars Jellyfishing tips and tricks
Speed is important
Jellyfishing maps are all quite open, which makes it difficult for brawlers with low speeds and small attack ranges. Brawlers with great mobility, such as Mortis, Stu, Lily, Crow, or Leon, thrive in this mode. You can even use characters like Bull or Darryl if you get the Super charged (Although it is not advised). The main idea is to enter the field as fast as possible, gather all the jellyfish, and then retreat.
Using the enemy to your advantage
Returning if you have a lot of Jellyfish is essential because if you die, you drop all the Jellyfish you have collected. However, if you notice the enemy getting griddy and staying in the center for too long with many Jellyfish, you can use that to your advantage. Targeting this enemy and killing them may bring more Jellyfish to your team than trying to collect leftovers.
Don’t collect Jellyfish all the time
Unlike Gem Grab, Jellyfishing mode only counts Jellyfish for your team if you hold it for 5 seconds. However, this timer resets every time you pick up a new Jellyfish. This means if your timer is almost up, it is better to wait and contribute to your team’s Jellyfish count now.
SpongeBob Power-Ups
Just like in any mode with event Power-Ups, Jellyfishing is much easier with them. So, if you have some Power-Ups, it is better to use a Brawler to utilize them. The best Power-Ups for this mode are KrabbyPatty, Spatula, and Chum Balls. Krabby Patty grants you extra protection and can increase your speed. Spatula is great at killing enemies and also grants you a speed increase. Chum Balls make your projectiles follow the enemy, making it much easier to defeat them and steal their Jellyfish. You can learn more about it in our Power-Ups guide.
Play with friends
If you play in a team, it would be much better. You can set up a strategy for yourself, but playing with teammates is much easier. The best team strategy is to have a fast brawler as a “Collector” while the other two players take control of the center, making it hard for the enemy to collect Jellyfish. This strategy is more about control than actually killing.
You can, of course, take a more aggressive approach if you have teammates with leveled Power-Ups; it is possible to lock the enemy team in their corner and keep all the Jellyfish for yourself. However, this method is much more risky and the opposing team can easily take advantage of your aggression.
