Turn into a Fire Cat form without Sulfuras equipped in SoD Phase 5
In the upcoming SoD Phase 5, you no longer need to equip Sulfuras to transform into the Fire Cat form!
Wowhead recently datamined a new item called the Refined Eye of Sulfuras. If you’re a Druid and own Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros, this item lets you shift into the Fire Cat form without needing to wield the weapon. As long as Sulfuras is in your inventory or bank, you can buy the Refined Eye of Sulfuras from Rix Xizzix in Booty Bay, Stranglethorn Vale, at coordinates [28.4, 75.8]. The price is still unknown, but we’ll find out when SoD Phase 5 launches.
Blizzard has done a great job with this update. Previously, Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros wasn’t very useful for Druids, but now it gives +358 Attack Power in Cat, Bear, or Dire Bear forms, and lets you transform into the awesome Fire Cat form, similar to Fandral’s Flamescythe in WoW Retail. The fact that you can stay in this form without equipping the weapon is an exciting bonus!
