Onyxia’s Lair is a unique instance consisting of an eponymous single boss named Onyxia. While it may sound simple, accessing this raid requires a challenging attunement process before you can face the daughter of Deathwing. Reworked for Season of Discovery Phase 4, this riad offers the chance to acquire powerful loot, such as epic-quality weapons, trinkets, crafting materials, and even an 18-slot bag. Every level 60 player, including you, will find something valuable for themselves!

Phase 4 SoD Onyxia’s Lair loot table: Tier 2 Helms
The Tier 2 helms typically obtained from this formidable boss in WoW Vanilla will unfortunately not be dropping in Season of Discovery Phase 4, as the Developers have decided not to include them in the WoW Classic Onyxia’s Lair loot table.
Phase 4 SoD Onyxia’s Lair loot table: Tier 1 Tokens
Instead of Tier 2 Helms, you can collect Tier 1 Tokens and trade them with Duke Hydraxis, the Molten Core Tier Tokens vendor. You can usually find him near the entrance of the Molten Core raid. However, after defeating Ragnaros on Heat Level 3, he moves into Ragnaros‘ room. It’s recommended that you exchange your Tokens before leaving, as it may be difficult to reach him after clearing the raid.

Phase 4 SoD Onyxia’s Lair loot table by quests
Heated Ancient Blade, Mature Black Dragon Sinew, and Head of Onyxia are the rewards you can loot from the boss in the Phase 4 SoD Onyxia’s Lair raid. They are necessary to complete some neutral and faction-specific quests, which will reward you with the following items:
Neutral quests
- The Forging of Quel’Serrar quest rewards you with the Quel’Serrar item.
- A Proper String quest rewards you with either the Rhok’delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers, Lok’delar, Stave of the Ancient Keepers, or Whistle of the Beast items.
Alliance
- Celebrating Good Times quest rewards you with either the Dragonslayer’s Signet, Onyxia Blood Talisman, or Onyxia Tooth Pendant items.
Horde
- For All To See quest rewards you with either the Dragonslayer’s Signet, Onyxia Blood Talisman, or Onyxia Tooth Pendant items.
