MoP Classic gold farm in Pre-patch

The MoP Pre-patch is here, and that’s great news for all gold grinders, because a new feature has arrived: you can now loot all nearby enemies at once! This means less clicking, faster looting, and smoother farming runs overall. Your gold farming just got a whole lot easier and more relaxed.
We’re focusing on raw gold farming. That means no professions, and you don’t need to use the Auction House at all. You earn gold simply by collecting loot and selling it to vendors. It’s straightforward and reliable.
Below, we’ll show you the best spots to farm gold this way: fast, safe, and low-risk. You can do it even as a freshly leveled 85 character, without any high ilvl gear.
Tips on how to farm gold in MoP Classic

As we go over the top spots for farming raw gold in MoP Classic, let’s first cover a few key points:
- Gear helps, but it’s not required.
The better your gear, the more trash mobs you can pull without dying. However, even a fresh level 85 character can use the methods below successfully. - Mobility, AoE, and sustain are key.
You’ll be doing lots of running and AoE damage, so make sure your build is optimized for speed and survival. Bring some sustain too—if you overpull and don’t use your defensives in time, it’s easy to die. - Top classes for raw gold farming: Monk, Druid, Blood Death Knight, Hunter.
Other classes can work too, just adjust your pull size accordingly. - Clear your bags beforehand.
Put anything valuable or soulbound into your bank so you don’t accidentally sell it. You’ll be looting a ton of items, and extra bag space will help. - Find the nearest vendor.
Before starting your run, locate a vendor close to your farming spot. You’ll be selling everything you loot, so easy access is important. - Understand how dungeon and raid resets work.
Normal dungeons: You can reset them 10 times per hour.
Raids: You can reset them freely, as long as you haven’t killed any bosses inside. - Use line of sight (LoS) to group up trash mobs.
Many enemies are casters or ranged attackers, making it difficult to group them up. When you pull a large pack, hide behind a corner or pillar: this will force all mobs to run into melee range, making them easier to AoE down.
Following these tips will help you farm faster, stay alive longer, and maximize every run for raw gold.

Let’s take a look at the top raw gold farming spots in Mists of Pandaria Classic. These locations are ideal for solo players looking to make steady gold by looting and vendoring items: no professions, competition, Auction House, or group content required.
Karazhan

Attunement is not required to enter Karazhan in MoP Classic, you can walk in freely. The raid is located in Deadwind Pass at the following coordinates:

Once inside, make sure to avoid all bosses, killing even one will trigger a raid cooldown, preventing you from resetting it outside. Focus only on trash mobs, as they’re your main source of raw gold.

Here’s the Karazhan gold farming route that works for all classes. The main differences come down to whether you can pull mobs from range and how much damage you can handle.

MoP Classic Profession gold farming
Right now, gathering professions are a great way to make gold: by farming essential materials for crafting professions and selling them on the Auction House. With the release of MoP, many players will be leveling their professions from 0 to 600, which means all the materials from Vanilla, TBC, WotLK, Cataclysm, and MoP will be in high demand.
Check out our full MoP Classic Professions Guide to see which materials are most valuable, where to farm them, and how to sell for maximum profit.
That covers all the best methods for farming gold in Mists of Pandaria Classic. And if you’d rather skip the grind, consider to buy WoW Classic gold instead.
Comments
I think there’s something wrong with the last farming method. If you get the Cloth Scavenging passive from Tailoring, you can only get extra cloth from Northrend humanoids. He wrote it himself.
