Klaxxi reputation overview
The Klaxxi are a sect of ancient Mantid paragons in the Dread Wastes. These intelligent Mantid elders have risen to oppose their own Empress, who has been corrupted by the Sha.
To begin earning Klaxxi reputation, complete the quest Psycho Mantid in the Dread Wastes. It becomes available after finishing Nope Nope and Falling Down from Bowmistress Li, located just east of the Terrace of Gurthan. These quests serve as an intro quests to Dread Wastes location, and can be started once you get level 89.

Klaxxi reputation hub
The quartermaster for Klaxxi is Ambersmith Zikk. The coordinates are: Dread Wastes [55.0, 35.6].
Klaxxi estimated time for exalted
To reach Exalted with the Klaxxi, you need a total of 42000 reputation. By completing the daily quests in the Dread Wastes, you can earn approximately 1300 reputation per day (Assuming you will do all dailies and hidden quests when applicable). If you also grind and turn in the Seeds of Fear quest three times daily (+750 reputation), your total daily gain increases to 2050 reputation.
At this rate, reaching Exalted will take about 21 days with grinding, or 33 days with daily quests alone. Choose your own pace, if you wish to get Ring faster you may want to grind out the reputation.
Daily quests and reputation sources
Each day, the Klaxxi will offer 6 daily quests focused on a specific area within the Dread Wastes. These quests typically involve tasks like defeating enemies, gathering resources, or sabotaging enemy operations. Most are straightforward and reward 130 Klaxxi reputation each.
In addition to the standard dailies, there are hidden bonus quests scattered throughout the zone. These are usually triggered by defeating powerful elite enemies in specific locations. After defeating the elite, you’ll loot a unique item that starts a turn-in quest at Klaxxi’vess for an extra chunk of reputation.
However, Klaxxi storyline in the Dread Wastes is the most efficient way to earn reputation and serves as the core path to reaching Revered. Completing it unlocks major Paragon quests and delivers large reputation gains. Once Revered, don’t forget to buy the Grand Commendation of the Klaxxi to double all future reputation gains on your account, especially useful for alts.
Note
You’ll still need to complete daily quests to continue progressing the story and reputation beyond a certain point, so be prepared for a bit of a grind.

These quests drop from specific rare elites or events and can only be completed when Dailies are active in the matching zone. You can complete one per day.

Klaxxi reputation farm: Dread Amber Shards method
Klaxxi is one of the few reputations in MoP that you can grind after Mogu’shan Vaults release. The method of farm is quite easy, though doesn’t mean that its not grindy. Dread Amber Shards can drop from every mob in Dread Wastes, so there is no particular route for farming them

This method is far less efficient than Dailies, but may be worthwhile for players trying to earn the item level 489 Epic ring before raids release.
Klaxxi quest chain: Unlocking all Klaxxi Paragons
Klaxxi not only offers valuable reputation rewards and unlocks access to other factions, it’s also one of the key reputations you’ll want to reach Exalted with for powerful pre-raid gear and storyline progression.
At Neutral:
You’ll begin the Klaxxi storyline by assisting the mantid in Klaxxi’vess, located in the Dread Wastes. Completing the initial series of quests will grant the achievement Dread Haste Makes Dread Waste, during which you will awaken four Paragons:
- Kil’ruk the Wind-Reaver
- Malik the Unscathed
- Korven the Prime
- Kaz’tik the Manipulator
These quests serve as the foundation of your relationship with the Klaxxi.
Additional Paragons (No reputation required)
Three more Paragons can be awakened through quest hubs around the Dread Wastes:
- Iyyokuk the Lucid – Complete all quests in Sunset Brewgarden, just north of Klaxxi’vess.
- Ka’roz the Locust – Head to Soggy’s Gamble in the south and finish the quest chain there.
- Rik’kal the Dissector – Begin The Zan’thik Dig, given by Kor’ik at Klaxxi’vess, and complete the chain in Zan’vess.
At Honored
Upon reaching Honored reputation, you’ll unlock a new quest from Kil’ruk the Wind-Reaver at Klaxxi’vess:
- Skeer the Bloodseeker – Complete his awakening quest and the subsequent chain to gain his aid in the war.
You may also receive the quest Overthrone, which reveals more about the Klaxxi’s purpose and sets up the lore behind the Heart of Fear raid. This quest typically appears around 10000 Honored reputation.
At Revered
Two more Paragons become available as your standing increases:
- Hisek the Swarmkeeper – Begin Dropping Our Signal, offered by Kor’ik at Klaxxi’vess.
- Xaril the Poisoned Mind – Start Beneath the Heart of Fear, from Kil’ruk the Wind-Reaver.
Completing their respective chains fully restores the council of Paragons.
At Exalted
With all nine Paragons awakened, Malik the Unscathed will offer the finale:
- The Empress’ Gambit – Join the Klaxxi in a bold assault on the Heart of Fear.
- The Wrath of Shek’zeer and Shadow of the Empire – These quests conclude the storyline and lead directly into the events of the Heart of Fear raid.
Final Reward:
You’ll receive an epic item level 489 ring, choosing one based on your class or role.
