Challenge Mode rules in Pandaria Classic

Challenge Mode in Mists of Pandaria Classic is a race against the clock. Finish each dungeon as fast as you can to earn a Bronze, Silver, or Gold medal, depending on your time.
Gear cap
In Challenge Mode, players’ gear item levels are normalized to 463. Any gear above item level 463 will be scaled down to fit the stat budget of 463-level items.
You can still benefit from gem stats, flasks, enchants, profession bonuses, food, and more, so make sure to use them all.
However, Hit % is an exception to this rule. If you’re Hit capped before entering the dungeon, you’ll remain Hit capped after scaling. Instead, your other secondary stats will be adjusted to maintain balance.
Best gear to use in Challenge mode
Trinket procs are enabled in Challenge Mode but are scaled to match the item level, making strong stat-based procs highly effective.
Darkmoon trinkets are often excellent choices for their item level.
Tier set bonuses, Sha-Touched gem effects, and legendary cloak procs are all disabled, but you can still use this gear if it provides the best stats for your build.
You can even use dungeon gear with item level 463 to play through Challenge Mode. However, higher item level gear may be better if it has more sockets.
